Every bit as good as they claim to be
Finding myself now using my phone for playing music more than in the past, and then finding the USB-C headphone adapter more of an annoyance than it was when I only used it occasionally, I decided it was finally time to get some bluetooth headphones... My first choice would have been Sennheiser, having been a fan of their wired sets for the past couple of decades, but the ones I had my eye on weren't available, so I started to look elsewhere for something that might be a suitable alternative in the meantime. My criteria were fairly straighforward - I wanted plain earbuds, decent battery life, easy recharging (i.e. direct USB connection, not via a charging case), and for the two buds to be connected so I could take them out and leave them hanging round my neck just as with wired buds. After a bit of searching, I'd narrowed down my list to either these or the similar C310, and as I've already got a few USB-C cables, the latter coming with a cable of its own wasn't enough to swing me towards that model given the 9 hour shorter rated runtime compared with the C100. Having now been using them for just under a week, I'm pleased to say these buds live up to their billing - as comfortable to wear for extended periods as my favoured Sennheiser buds, even with the extra weight of the control unit and battery resting against the sides of my neck. Sound quality is impressive given they're relying on their internal amplifier rather than being driven directly from the phone or laptop, and at full volume they pack a surprising punch. Perhaps not quite as bass-heavy as the Sennheisers, but still full bodied enough to put a smile on my face when the drums or bass guitars kick in. I haven't yet given the battery a full stress test, however after around 8 hours of use from full charge the reported charge level had dropped by 30%, which bodes well for them achieving the stated runtime. And recharging from the USB-C connection is easy and quick, so between the long runtime and fast recharge times its unlikely I'll find myself wanting to use them but being thwarted by a low battery warning. One thing I wasn't expecting from them was to be able to use them as a headset in Teams calls - I knew they had a microphone and could be used as a headset with a phone, but from what I've heard about other headsets it's not a given that they'll also work on a PC in that way, so this was a pleasant surprise. And whilst the audio quality here isn't quite as good as a dedicated headset with boom mic, it's easily good enough unless there's a lot of background noise - being able to switch instantly from listening to music to being in a call, without having to swap from headphones to headset and vice versa (as noted above, the C100's aren't quite as good as my headset for voice calls, but they're SO much better for music). Plus being wireless means I'm no longer tethered to the PC via the USB cable... On that note, with the PC in my upstairs office, I can walk around almost all of the house without dropping the connection - it's only once I walk into the extension out the back of the house that the signal cuts out, so the claimed 10m range doesn't seem unreasonable. Pairing the buds is about as easy as it gets with bluetooth gear these days - press and hold the power button until you hear them say they're in pairing mode, then select them from the list of available devices on whichever thing you're pairing them with. So far I've paired them with my phone and two laptops, and switching from one to the other takes just a few seconds, accompanied by another verbal indication of connection success. They're definitely a no frills set of buds - aside from the buds themselves, the only other thing in the small box aside from the instructions is a set of alternative earpieces in differing sizes, as is the norm with bud-style units. No USB cable or storage pouch or anything else like that, but what that means is that you're paying for the buds and nothing more, and that shows in the performance you get from them for your money. And I have to admit to being genuinely impressed with them, to the point where I'm starting to wonder if I'll bother replacing them with the Sennheisers I originally was after.

Great headphones to wear under a bike helmet.
These get 5 starts from me as I bought them for using under a motorcycle helmet. The buds are very small and don't get pulled out your ears when putting on or taking off the helmet. They do exactly what I hoped - keep out a lot of the wind noise when riding and the sound level and quality is easily good enough to hear music while travelling. The battery life seems to be brilliant and the neck band and pods tuck under the jacket collar easily and nothing gets caught up or moved by the wind. I find them extremely comfortable and have had no trouble at all with the connectivity. As far as I'm concerned, they are brilliant.

Great sound after app adjustment, fantastic battery life, but handle with care!
I have very small ear canals and have always struggled with earphones. I recently tried true wireless earbuds, but they were a nightmare—they constantly fell out, I kept losing them, and the bulky plastic bodies even gave me painful friction blisters. I tried smaller wireless options like the JLab Minis, but they were simply too quiet and the battery life was poor. Because of this, I decided to go back to a neckband style, which I had used before, specifically seeking better security and a smaller bud size for comfort. The package arrived promptly and was completely intact. Inside the box, the packaging layout is very minimalist. There is no actual physical instruction manual included, just a basic product description and reference guide sheet. It comes with extra silicone earbuds, which I instantly swapped out for the small size. Take note that it does not include a USB-C charging cable or brick in the box, so you will need to use your own. Regarding the fit, it's a bit of a mixed bag due to my unique ear shape. They do still fall out from time to time, but the massive upside is that they are incredibly comfortable. The hard plastic doesn't press or rub against my ears, completely eliminating the harsh friction and painful blisters I was getting before. In fact, they are comfortable and lightweight enough that I can easily fall asleep wearing them, and because they are on a neckband, I don't have to worry about losing them in the sheets. Initially, I was very disappointed with the audio quality and did not find them good or loud enough. However, that completely changed once I downloaded the Sony Headphones Connect app and adjusted the settings. I am honestly not impressed with the app itself, but once you turn on the DSEE feature and tweak the equalizer to your liking, you really have no further use for it. Post-adjustment, the sound is excellent and significantly louder than the JLab Minis. The passive noise isolation is also great once you get a decent seal. The physical build quality of the neckband is where this product falls short. The cable is thin, flimsy, and highly prone to tangling. You have to be incredibly careful with it, otherwise, it feels like it will not last very long. There are also no magnets to secure the earbud heads together when they are just hanging around your neck, and Sony does not provide a pouch to store and protect them when they are not in use. Because of this questionable cable quality, I have decided to use these earbuds exclusively at home. For home use, I am most impressed with the battery life. I absolutely love the fact that I can spend hours watching videos and whatnot without ever having to worry about the battery running out. Over time, I have grown to really like them. If it weren't for the fragile neckband wire, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them completely—but if you buy them, just plan to use them gently! I bought these on offer, for about £25, which I think is a great price for in-ear headphones offering such great sound and battery life. Pitty about the neckband cable quality.

Good quality at the price.
Not high end for music but then no in-ears are in comparison to quality full size headphones. Where these excel are easy connectivity, easy controls and decent enough sound quality - music sounds good enough and is definitely a step up from cheaper items and for podcasts (my main use) they are excellent. Really good battery life as well. Having lost a pair I have no hesitation buying again.

Decent sound but connectivity issues
These Sony WI-C100 in-ear headphones sound fine for music and calls, but I ran into surprisingly poor connectivity when trying to pair them with a Samsung Smart TV. The connection drops frequently, which is frustrating. Sound quality is good, comfortable fit, but I expected better reliability from Sony, especially for TV use.

Buy if you can find them.
These are my favourite headphones, great quality sound ant a reasonable price. Unfortunately hard to get hold of these days.

They keep falling out
I honestly don’t understand why so many people are praising these earbuds. I bought them but ended up returning them. The sound quality for music is actually very good, but during phone calls, the other person’s voice doesn’t sound clear. The worst thing, though, is the fit. They keep slipping out and falling off. I wanted to use them at work, but you can barely walk around with them without constantly worrying that they’re going to fall.

Comfortable
The Sony WI-C100 wireless in-ear headphones have truly impressed me with their blend of affordability and reliable performance. If you're looking for a solid pair of everyday earbuds that won't break the bank, these are definitely worth considering. One of the standout features is undoubtedly the incredible battery life. Sony claims up to 25 hours, and in my testing, they've consistently come very close to that. This is a huge plus for anyone who's tired of constantly charging their headphones. I've used them for several days of commuting, workouts, and calls without needing to plug them in. This longevity makes them perfect for travel or long workdays. The water resistance is another welcome addition. While I haven't submerged them, they've held up perfectly fine during sweaty gym sessions and a few unexpected light rain showers. This gives peace of mind knowing they can handle the rigors of daily life. The built-in microphone performs admirably for phone calls. Callers have reported clear audio on my end, and I've had no trouble hearing them. The convenience of being able to take calls without reaching for my phone is a significant advantage. Voice Assistant compatibility is a nice touch. I've easily been able to activate Google Assistant with a long press of a button, allowing for hands-free control of music, calls, and information. This integration feels seamless and intuitive. The reliable Bluetooth® connection has been a consistent positive. Pairing was straightforward, and I've experienced minimal dropouts or interruptions, even in crowded areas. This stable connection ensures a smooth and enjoyable listening experience. In terms of comfort, the WI-C100 are lightweight and come with different sized ear tips, allowing for a secure and comfortable fit for various ear shapes. I've worn them for extended periods without any significant discomfort. The sound quality is perfectly acceptable for the price point. While they might not satisfy audiophiles looking for the most nuanced and detailed sound, they provide a balanced audio profile that's enjoyable for everyday listening to music, podcasts, and audiobooks. The bass is present without being overwhelming, and the mids and highs are clear enough for a pleasant listening experience. Design-wise, the black finish is sleek and understated. The neckband design is practical, allowing the earbuds to rest comfortably around your neck when not in use, preventing them from getting lost. The controls are easily accessible on the neckband, allowing for convenient volume adjustment, playback control, and call management. Overall, the Sony WI-C100 wireless in-ear headphones offer an excellent combination of long battery life, water resistance, reliable connectivity, and convenient features at a very competitive price. While they might not have all the bells and whistles of more premium options, they deliver on the essentials and provide a solid and dependable wireless audio experience for everyday use. If you're looking for a budget-friendly pair of wireless earbuds that simply work and last, the Sony WI-C100 are a fantastic choice.

Absolute rubbish
3 months of light use and one side is completely broken and the other is muffled. Do not bother with these! I had an older version of these that lasted for years. Clearly Sony can no longer make a quality headphone.

Best well rounded in earphones
Bought this the second time after losing first one. That should tell you already how much I like it It is a very nice piece of hardware. Excellent build , excellent battery backup , all day wearable. This is so much better than the totally wireless models because mic sits closer to your mouth + ear phones are connected by wire so you don't accidentally lose one ear piece. Also , the battery is powerful to last like 25 hours of listening before needing recharge. For me it translates to recharge once in 2 weeks. In other way , it also means it has enough power to drive those audio output unlike wireless ones. If you want to customize , there is an excellent sony app which allows you to fine tune music quality. Once you fine tune it with sony app you realize how powerful the bass can be on this thing. In short , extremely satisfied . I bought second piece for myself , and one more for my mother.

My new daily bluetooth neckband is great !!
I have used boat rockerz 255 pro, mi dual driver and also my beginner audiophile IEM The "KZ ZSN PRO X". The boat rockerz and mi dual drivers are bloated with Bass as well as, sub bass. with almost the same price as this neckband, the KZs are bright with more bass than sub bass. But its a wired chi-fi with huge sound stage, resolution and superb Clarity that cannot be compared to any of my other earphones. Now, lets talk about the sony wi c100. The sound stage is average, resolution is low(it plays only AAC quality sound). As sony says they are well balanced. but from someone who has the KZs, I felt the treble not lacking, but artificial. the same goes for they vocal clarity, but as this neckband is more focused on voice calls.... its really really good. The sound quality recorded in the mic is just phenomenal, the best of any other earphones i have. So the treble is average, mids are pretty damm good and last but nor the least, the Bass and Sub Bass ....IS Beautiful!! Natural, Smooth and way better than the boat rockerz. not too much not too less. just the right amount of the sub bass and bass. though i thought it was a little bit extra, I turned it 1 level down from the sony headphones app. Oh and if you buy these. do not use your inbuilt equaliser. it doesn't work as expected on these. instead, download the sony headphones app. it has a independent bass tuner to turn the bass and sub bass(together) low and high, naturally. I think the Price could have been some 200-300 rs low. but remember, sony is a popular and trusted headphone brand. also after keep in my that the sound quality is excellent, even though its Bluetooth. I used these for two days. they are very light weight. the build for the ear part is small, weird and it little bit hard to fit in. but I didn't fell any irritation. Overall Built quality doesn't look promising. but i trust sony and think they'll last 3 years atleast. GG 🙂
