The JVC/Taiyo Name is the Best!
I have been using this product for a long time now. I have been purchasing it from a higher priced store, but no more now that Amazon is selling it. I have never had a defective blank DVD. I have read others have experienced defects, but I think their problem is that they are burning at speeds which are too high. Yes, the label says "16x," but I always burn at "6x" and they have always worked for me. The difference in time for the home user between 16x and 6x is not that severe. Just slow down and enjoy the top quality DVD's at bargain basement prices from Amazon.

got the wrong product
Since this didn't suit my needs I subsequently got another Taiyo Yuden product. I got the watershield version and it was just like the CD-R version and gave me the exact same results. By the way, I had to start using the CD and DVD logos with my burner/printer so people could tell the difference. As of now I have about 150 DVD-Rs that I probably won't ever use. Shopping can be a trial and error experience. Don't get discouraged or give up.

Not bad for the price. Print well and do not smear the ink.
From a Duplication Specialist for over 30 years here is my review...These discs are not bad for the price. Burned well through the entire stack. Printed well without any smearing of the ink. I used them for transfering home movies to DVD and they worked quite well.

Great quality for any use
I've been using these DVDs for years. I do commercial video work and these have been the most reliable discs in regards to writeability and printability. They are the best I've used.

Yaiyo Yuden???
For the past 5 years, I have used only Yaiyo Yuden for all DVD recording projects. In the past 5-years combined, I've had three faulty Yaiyo Yuden discs. In this particular batch of 100 DVD-Rs, I have used 50 and have had 15 faulty or unreadable discs. Are these authentic Yaiyo Yuden DVD-Rs?

Excellent.
Super-good quality DVDs. Virtually NOBODY ever comes back to me and says "this DVD won't play in my player". Easy to print on and durable also.
