Please note that the latest GR07 Bass no longer uses the red and silver wires. Instead, it will be silver wires instead. One of the Vsonic flagship earphones, the GR07 Bass Edition is the next version of the critically acclaimed GR07. The GR07 Bass Edition maintained all the upgrades from the GR07 MK2 namely: a more flexible cable, reduced siblance and improvement in clarity. On top of that, the GR07 Bass Edition improves upon the bass response of the GR07 Mk2 giving it more wellbodied bass. Hi-Fi IEM's on a budget that can do it all
These are the best sounding IEM's in their price range and even beyond their price range. I have tried: Westone UM Pro 20's, UE Triple.fi 10, Sennheiser CX400ii, Etymotic HF3, and Apple In-Ear Buds (dual-driver armatures). They are crisp, clear, and have a really great soundstage. They are the first IEM's that offers a sound that resembles my headphones and not a closed in sound like many IEM's. There are several tips included for a variety of ear canal sizes and comfort. I prefer the foam for the sound, comfort, and isolation, but the rubber tips, Sony Hybrid tips, and Sony Hybrids with the foam are decent. The cable is a bit short for my tastes, but works well and not too short at all. I also prefer the over the ear design so they stay in better and the cord is better draped closer to your body and can even be draped under your shirt. Now let's go over the sound:BassThese are not bass heavy headphones. They are the "Bass Edition", but only add a little bass presence in the low end over the more sterile and plain GR07's. These are NOT bass monsters. They will have lower bass than the Sennheiser and Klipsch IEM's. They do offer a more balanced sound with a tight low end. Extreme low end tends to pop out just a tad more, but for those looking for more presence and clarity in the low end from Etymotics or most balanced armatures will be very pleased. Different tips will give you more or less bass...a better seal will give better bass.MidsThese have great detailed mids, but not overly present like many pro IEM's. I would still say they have only a slight V shape, but certainly more balanced than Sennheiser's. Very clean and detailed. A fair bit of warning, they will have a tendency to show off your bad recordings since the mids are more pronounced. I would not call these a "fun" headphone.HighsThe highs are details and have a tendency towards sibilance with certain tracks. These need breaking in to really settle down the highs, but the highs are quick and give good detail and excellent spacial cues. The different tips will affect the high end the most. I found the foams the most pleasing due to the wide opening and funneled the sound in. The rubber tips sound a bit different due to the smaller exit hole and can make them sound more closed in and more focused on the mids since the bass will also be a touch lighter.Overall it is hard to fault these for the price. They are comfortable and offer a nice and balanced sound that is very hi-fi. On some really decent recordings they can even sound downright transparent transporting you to the studio. They will work great for casual listening, hi-fi listening, or as an on-stage monitor IEM...it can do it all!

Great. Just great!
I bought these specifically for listening to music while falling asleep, something that, as a side-sleeper, I couldn't do with my other IEM's due to the profile of the housing with the exception of my Westone W4's. But I didn't want to run the risk of damaging those as they are my most expensive pair. So I thought these might be a good compromise.First, they met my needs for falling asleep perfectly. They are so comfortable (second only to my Klipsch X10's) and the rotating nozzle means that you can adjust them to nest in your ear with minimum protuberance. The cables seem very hearty and have withstood being rolled around on being yanked out of my ears during the night. So I find it surprising to see the other reviews reporting durability issues. None here.Second, these could very well be my best sounding pair of IEM's period. I really don't know how that is possible as I generally prefer balanced armatures to dynamics, but these just don't disappoint once they are broken in. For the price, they are untouchable. Tenore's or KC06A's might be good cheaper alternatives, but these are the only pair that I would miss if I lost them. Some things not readily apparent from pics and other reviews:_These are small, really small. That picture up there shows the housing fitted with the smallest silicone tip provided. I use one of the medium tips and the housing is just slightly bigger than the tip._They are really lightweight. In fact, the cabling weighs more than the iems._Probably already mentioned, but the set of included tips is one of the best selections I've seen yet. They are practically as good as the Sony Hybrid Tips and there are many sizes in fun colors. For this reason alone, I would get this pair over the classic GR07's that seem to come with fewer tips._As mentioned elsewhere, these aren't a bass heavy unit. So don't steer away from them for that reason.Hope that helps. Enjoy!

Yes- these sound terrific! As others have said there is a slight hiss (less sibulant) when I initially used but I burned them in with about 50 hours of music form various genres and I ran them through the Jlabs headphone burnin tool found on the web for about 16 hours- two nights at mid volume. Use it at your own risk- It worked out well for me. The bass filled out to a pleasant full but natural sound and the hiss disappeared. Repeating what others have said, these are not bass heavy, they are more balanced and flat with a nice but by no means overwhelming emphasis on bass. They remind me of the Shure SE215 but these are comfortable. Yes-they have a "fun" sound to me.Cons: the cable is is a mixed bag- it's thin and appears frail compared to other buds I've used and I have several. Time will tell. They also get tangled easily unless I am very careful when I wrap them and put them in the case. I had to switch to a zippered case or they were unmanageable when removed from the pleather drop in case. Real need for improvement here.But-Speaking of the cable, this bud should be worn with cable over the ear. Somehow, though the cable is soft and flexible its stays in place when I wear them over the ears. So all in all 4.5 stars droping.5 stars for the cable. As far as the sound 5 *****Because you know I'm all about that bass'Bout that bass, AND treble, and mids...

Great headphone
I am not sure why they list several different GR07 here on Amazon, but these are the MK II version as well. I got a good deal on mine and they are definitely worth the asking price. I kind of like the GR06 and GR02 better for music though if you do not like to hear all the little details. I actually really enjoyed the GR02 for a while, but I can easily pick out their faults when I compare them to these earphones. These are just fantastic and you will enjoy them for whatever price you pay. Easily competes with the DT990 250 Ohm Premiums I once had. Much cleaner and almost the exact same bass. Don't miss out on these.
