This is a good net for trout, small bass & similar smaller fish. It has a black rubberized grip & silver aluminum handle. The handle is solidly affixed to the net by a well constructed metal piece that holds the latching mechanism, described below. A triangular frame supports the net. Two sides of the frame are unbendable metal, but the outter side of the frame is a flexible rubberized tube. This "tube" adequately supports the open net, but it bends when the net is folded in closed position, for compactness. The net itself is thin, black nylon material that is sufficiently wide & deep for your small catch. Be careful not to rip it. This product folds in half using a well made mechanical metal latch on the back of the neck between the handle & net. Use your thumb to pull down & the net promptly folds in half. Pull the net up to open & the latch automatically locks. Easy. The metal latch is solidly made. Contrary to the advertisement, this net...or the handle, is not "telescopic." The handle does not extend or shorten. Its one length. That's ok. Overall, this is a good, simple, functional, compact & inexpensive fishing net for small game. Glad I bought it for catching trout in the Eastern Sierras.

Isn’t very sturdy cannot adjust. The length wasn’t good for the price and not very durable. The sign of the net was good but not the length of the pole and it doesn’t extend like it says.

For the price, it's a pretty good deal. The frame of the net is solid and it flips open easily. It is as shown in the picture. Now the bad, the net is pretty terrible. It smells STRONGLY of chemicals, like overpoweringly strong, as in if you dip the net into the water you might think that and oil slick would come off it. This will fade with time, but the second problem is that this is what I would call a "dip net", not a fish landing net. The mesh is very fine, like an aquarium net for minnows, and I don't know how well it would hold up to regular use. The ends of the net frame are joined only by a piece of tubing stretched over the shafts that come out of the handle. This will probably be fine, but at some point will either tear, or crack if it dries out. That said, the bones on this are good, and if you are willing to restring it in the future with a better mesh net, then you really can't beat the price.

My kids love this net. We Live in a private community with a private lake and my kids love To use this net to catch fish and frogs and any other kind of wildlife around the lake. The handle is very durable and very lightweight and easy to use for little kids. I also love that it is colorful and has an adjustable handle for harder to reach spots.
