I got this to charge my eBike battery (my bike is a 36V Ampere Tourer S) when I'm away from the house - so I don't have to take the original charger out and about with me. It seems to behave exactly as my original charger, but at a fraction of the price that Ampere would have charged me for a second one. Recommended.

Designed for charging e-bikes, this has the universal fit for most of those products and you can quickly tell by comparing ends with your current. The charger is dual voltage so will adjust to your bikes specifications and it seems to charge quickly and efficiently. Plug and use item literally, no need for any setup out the box. Has a built in led indicator and overall I’ve had no issues since starting to use. Nice and long!

This charger does work, but I do have reservations.I have 2 ebikes which have similar style Hailong type batteries. One ebike from China, the other from Italy. This charger is virtually identical (case, markings, ratings and connector) to the charger that came with my Linox bike from Italy, and it works well with that bikes' battery and without issues.If I connect this charger to the Chinese ebike battery, then it sparks when pushing either of the 2 supplied connectors into the battery (all this while the charger is not yet connected to a wall socket).From this, I suppose that the circuitry that controls the Chinese ebike battery is perhaps not entirely compatible with this charger? The charger will charge both batteries, and does it just as quickly as the original chargers supplied with the bikes, but it is disconcerting, none the less.While working, the charger does get a little warm, which is to be expected, but not too warm that it concerns me.I cannot say that there is an issue with this charger (I am certainly not an expert) with regard to the sparking while making a connection. The fact that it connects fine on one of my batteries but not the other leads me to believe that it is the battery that is causing an issue.For me, this charger will be a useful spare for when one of my original chargers inevitably gives up. Until then, it will sit in a drawer as it currently will not be my first choice.I have given 3 stars for this product, since it does what it is supposed to with one of my batteries, but it might be a bit of a lottery that it will work without sparking on connection with any battery you might own.Cautiously recommended.

My e-bike has a 36v 2a charger pack and this works to replace my old charger but it won't be doing that due to it sparking when connected to the battery. I should point out that this is when the charger is NOT connected to the wall as well as when it is. My usual charger I use, doesn't spark at all when connected to the battery.As stated, this does work with my battery and will charge at the full 2a but I don't want to deal with sparks when I connect the charger so it's staying in the drawer until mine finally gives up the ghost.Final verdict - This will do fine for a replacement charger if your original one has broken. just be sure to not have your fingers near the metal connecting end when you are plugging it in.
