USELESS!
I had to rewrite my review because this product ended being worse than what I originally thought. I bought a Small Rig sunhood for my Ninja and THEN discovered I needed the cage to install it (who sells spares for kits?). So I bought this kit and then discovered NONE of the screws work! The large ones aren't long enough to reach the body of the monitor and ditto for the smaller ones (I had to watch a youtube video from a 3rd party to discover this much as there is no manual). If they had fit I wouldn't be able to insert my SSD because the fit pushes the screen further towards the front which exaggerates the interference of the cage's obstruction. I looked for another appropriate sized screw and the first one I tried fit! What is so difficult for this company to do the simplest things like machine pieces of metal (I bought all SmallRig and found some components aren't compatible with other parts from the same company) and provide fitting screws? In short I paid $156 for a screen protector. USELESS!

Perfect addition to my Atomos Ninja V
This cage adds versatility. The sun visor really makes working outdoors in sunny weather a lot more manageable now that I can see the display.

Incompatible with their own Hawklock despite Ninja's shell being compatible
With the actual Ninja V, you have two different sizes of pegged mounting holes: 1/4" and 3/8". The Hawklock by Smallrig is a beefy unit and you'd think it would be compatible with their cage for the Ninja but unless you modify it, it is not. There are no pegged 1/4" mounts (believe that's ARRI-type) which means the pegs themselves have to be removed. Not a big deal but then that defeats the purpose of the cage in the first place.Given that the cost of the Ninja V plus a Smallrig cage equals the cost of a new, aluminum shelled Ninja (the one that was just released) and then you need a Ninjalock-like device to have a quality mount, it just doesn't make sense to get this or the older Ninja.Smallrig makes great stuff but this seems like quite the lack of thinking on their part. The sunshade is also only OK. Weird to have this fabric thing that fits around it but I suspect that's to save on cost ... but given that the cost is already over $130 USD we deserve better. It's not cheap but has cheap parts on it.One thing I wasn't expecting it to include was a screen protector which is nice but, again, at this price point only including ONE seems like a bit of a rip off.I might be returning it given that it isn't compatible with the Hawklock. It is a nice piece of aluminum but for $139 I expect better comparability.

Top screw barely fits. Does not fit with Atomos drive cage.
Could barely get the top screw in. Tried several times, almost dropped my Ninja V, and finally had to jam a folded piece of paper into the bottom to shove the Ninja hard against the top of the cage. Then, the screw only went in about a quarter turn. Very poor manufacturing tolerances. Finally managed to get the top, bottom, and side screws in, only to find that... my drive caddy won't fit! I would have to destroy the caddy to slide it in because the lip on the cage prevents it from being slid in flush / parallel (see photo). No instructions. Their video tutorial suggests you buy a custom drive caddy. No thanks. All they had to do was design it to work with the Atomos drive caddy, or provide a caddy with the unit instead of the "rubber glove" (which I will never use -- some tutorial videos say it fits snugly, but not really).
