Another GREAT Acebeam Torch !!
I am not an expert on flashlights. I do not possess testing equipment , etc. But I HAVE done a LOT of searching , reading reviews , watching reviews , etc. And I have purchased lights from Fenix , Klarus , Jetbeam , Nitecore , and others. I also live where I can REALLY test out a light's features and throw , etc. This is my 5th Acebeam and I must say it's an AWESOME torch! Why some reviewer(s) mention things like "I doubt it's 2000 lumens" and other nonsense , I'll never know. This light is 1400 lumens. And having personally used quite a number of lights +/- that output , I have no doubts on that. As for the 802 meter (877 yd.) throw - that seems to be very believable. I can light up road signs as far down my road as I can see...It has a beautiful "hot spot" with a decent "spill" so you get some lighting of the peripheral areas as well as the very impressive beam profile. It's a bright white (my personal favorite) and it is on the smaller footprint of many lights in this output range. It has a single tail cap-only switch. It has a quiet "click" , so not silent but it is a relatively sweet and easy to acclimate to interface. It has low , medium and high as you cycle through the modes. It also has 2 "hidden modes" :1.- From off , long press the cap and it's lower still. It's not a "firefly" low (which I don't need , anyway) , so , if you're in your tent looking at your maps during battle, you WILL be picked off ( condolences to next of kin )!2.- Double click tail cap and highest output "turbo" is achieved. Also , a quick triple click and you have your strobe. Would - be attackers will uniformly attest : " Worse than my botched Lasik surgery" !!The light features a lock out feature , to prevent accidental activation (and burning of the shorts!!) by simply pressing the tail cap for 3 seconds. This will completely disable all functions until you re-activate with a 5 second long press. The light flashes 3x at each event. Being as this light is single-switch , tail cap only , I don't think this feature is much needed , unless to keep this potent light from blinding some inquisitive 4 year old (or stoned- out 30 year old, basement -dwelling "gaming expert" ). Also , when "off" it has instant activation of : On (with memory function of last mode used), Turbo and Strobe . So , if you're in an area where self protection (and the possibility of "MOSTLY peaceful" protests springing up) are concerns, you'll want to be ready to "light your way" to safety (and possibly send attackers to the "Tapping Sticks-R-Us" outlet)...The package includes a 3100 mAh lithium battery , which charges directly on-cell with the included charger , so if you don't have a specialized charger (like I do and prefer myself) then it's all in the box , ready to rock. The battery needs to be removed to charge , as this light does NOT feature an external charging port. I don't like the constant removal of rubber covers and delicate charging ports on lights, anyway. If there WERE to be anything damaged , it's the battery , not the WHOLE FLASHLIGHT!! I realize some prefer the convenience of not having to remove the battery to charge... and I won't go on about how many hospitalizations I have endured myself from attempting that ARDUOUS task!!! (Whew...I get winded just THINKING about that!!)The build quality seems to be excellent and there is a sweet 5 year warranty. And the price point is exceptional. For us flashlight geeks , the emitter itself is an awesome thing of beauty. Ranks a close 2nd to my Acebeam L 18 as far as impressive looking led arrays...So ,rounding out the package are a nice lanyard and holster. The belt loop has a nice double use design. Either use the pull -over , "snap closure" or thread the whole belt thru the sewn-closed loop for more rugged ( "This sucker won't fall off during my 'Rhino Rides for beginners' class" ) outings. Also included are a replacement tail cap boot and 2 replacement O-rings.I believe that's it..Oh , WAIT..(To my Ex-wife):Yes, I bought ANOTHER ONE! NYYAAAH...Now, I'm done...

Osram Flashlight
This product should be bought for special purposes like searching a field and not purchased for an everyday flashlight as the beam is too narrow. Product offers good build quality, nice size with a cooler blue/white colored beam. I also own the Wuben E10 Osram and if you only have 1 or two flashlights the E10 wins due to functionality and use, it just won't project quite as far but a person usually doesn't need the distance. The Acebeam L17 should only be purchased if you need the extra distance throw.

its ok
don't get your expectations up on the throw distance for this. its still good and bright but definitely not on LEP levels. I also highly doubt this is 2000 lumens.
