how to install anley mounting rings

Loosen set screw and slide rings onto the flag pole and then re tighten set screw.

Will these work correctly on a 7/8" pole or is 1" the only diameter possible for use? Thanks

It has a one inch hole but also a set screw to hold it in place...i believe they will work fine on a 7/8 in pole...

Will these fit a 1.25" triangle pole?

The 1.25" must refer to the OD of the ring. The ID is 1" and I used my rings I purchased to mount my flag to a 1" OD aluminum pole. The ID of the rings is 1" and the 1" pole (pipe) fit through the ring hole exactly, no leeway for a larger pole or pipe. I have to say, no, a 1.25 pole or pipe is too large for the rings ID of 1".

Can these be used for a sleeve flag...not a grommet one?

Not practically. A sleeve flag would not need these and could not use them. A sleeve flag does not have the grommeted holes to accept these rings. As some folks indicate in their answers, a sleeve flag could be attached at the top of the pole, using the tab inside the top of the sleeve. Buy why not just make use of the sleeve?
