SweetGlob Old Fashioned White Rock Candy Crystals (Lump Rock Sugar Candy (Large Crystal), 1 Pound)

This is old-fashioned rock candy, which is basically pure sugar. Boil water with sugar, let it get to a certain temp, then let it cool into a texture you can break into crystals (“Breaking Bad”, but totally legal). One of the really bad things about this stuff is try as I might, I can’t resist chewing this stuff which is terrible for your teeth. Okay, now that I’ve rained on this stuff’s parade all over, I will tell you that this is one of the best, simplest candies ever made. If you’ve never tried it, you really should - I have yet to find anyone who says ‘no’ to this candy. Just watch that you don’t chew it - put it under your tongue and let it melt. It’ll soften and you can give it a satisfying crunch that you just can’t avoid. Oh and I’ve tried other brands - this one is delicious. Indulge yourself at least this once - you can’t go wrong. It’s a lot of yum at a very nice price. .

This is the best rock candy. I appreciate that they offer multiple sizes of the rock candy. It's always in stock and arrives on time. Since I am avoiding artificial food dyes, I love that it is available in the clear/regular flavor (1 ingredient = cane sugar).

Really good rock candy would suggest it for anybody

I needed clear rock candy that looked like broken glass (that didn't cause a cut) for a project I was working on, this was perfect it looked like the real thing. Price was good and tasted good too!

I loved that these were sugar, I wanted larger crystals as I was doing a geode cake. These were too large for the most part. I had to hunt for the smaller ones.

I used these to make "kyber crystals" for a Star Wars wedding cake. These were the perfect size. One bag was enough to cover the 6" round layer (about 4" tall). I used gel food coloring diluted with lemon extract to brush it on the crystals. I thought about buying the blue raspberry candy, but I wanted to match the bride's blue she requested. They taste like plain sugar, no bitterness or aftertaste. I would buy these again.

I really like this candy. But I have a big problem spending more than $10 on a bag of rock candy when all it is is sugar. I like to have a piece of hard candy in my mouth during the day to keep my mouth moist because I have a big problem with dry mouth. This is very effective. I would buy it all the time if it didn't cost so much. Also, is not always available and that is annoying.
