Members-Krondon, Mitchy Slick, Phil Da Agony: Strong Arm Steady, a Hip-Hop super-group formed from the cream of California's underground hip-hop scene, has toured relentlessly and pounded the mixtape circuit for years, independently distributing over 200,000 mixtapes worldwide and building an extremely loyal fanbase. They released the critically acclaimed, buzz building Stoney Jackson LP in early 2010 which was produced entirely by Madlib. The next chapter in the Strong Arm Steady saga begins with the harder-edged new album their community has been waiting for, Arms & Hammers. Executive Produced by Talib Kweli, the new album is pure "rebel music" and boasts guest performances from hip-hop royalty Game, Too Short, KRS One, Kurupt, and more. Their never ending grind and consistent track record of creating great music shows why Strong Arm Steady is a force to be reckoned with in Hip-Hop.

Strong
So this is the official debut from Strong Arm Steady, a movement that started a few years ago in the West Coast. Arms & Hammers is, indeed, strong. Production provided by DJ Khalil (a force to be reckoned with), Blaqtoven, Nottz etc provided a great sound in which Mitch Slick, Krondon and Phil da Agony can deliver their furious bars on everything: police, woman, ghetto, the obvious odd to weed and so on.Guest features include names like Game, Kurupt, Krs-One, Talib Kweli, Chace Infinite and Too $hort, too bad there's no Xzibit on it. One of the good releases so far this year, the chemistry is evident in every track and for those who like that west coast sound certainly won't be disapointing purchasing this album.

Replay--Press Repeat
Now that this is rap music. So far not many reviews from amazon but that is to be expected after some of the responses I have gotten from my comments about other far less formidable works. I mean with the collaborations alone you can tell that it is the real deal, Madlib, Talib, KRS-1 and other standouts. The lyrics, delivery, tracks, message and the GANGSTA is on BLAST. Each track displaying realness and truth to power. Each track having it's own original melody from the it's previous. None of that sing songy, nursery rhyme type of flow. These are some of the originators you can just tell by confident speech patterns and relevant content of the material.
