It works solidly, and turning the wheel with the Om Mani Padme Hung mantra inside is truly soothing. If you do find any resistance while turning, a bit of ball-bearing lubrication could help. But for me, it arrived in perfect condition, turning smoothly right out of the box. One of my favorite additions is the microsuede carrying pouch that it comes with. Why did you pick this product vs others?: I don't remember why I picked this one specifically but I made the right decision. It truly is beautiful as well. My first thought when I took it out of the package was how solid it felt. It spins very smoothly.
