Economical ceiling fan for hard-wired installation
Most of the inexpensive ceiling fans/lights are designed so that you can only control their functions using a wireless remote. This one is different. It has 4 wires to connect in the fan housing: 2 switch-controlled (light and fan), neutral, and ground. The electronic wall switch that comes with the unit has terminals for those plus one for the unswitched line voltage. The switch controls the fan speeds and turns the light on and off. It has a nice design and is intuitive to use. However, it does not contain a dimming function. Another reviewer said that the LED light is dimmable, and I confirmed that using a different electronic dimmer switch. According to the product information, the supplied multi-function switch can connect to other devices using wi-fi. I did not test this because I want to limit the number of devices on my home network for security reasons. The fact that this fan/light does not come with a wireless remote may seem like a drawback, but this is precisely why I bought it. I'm not a big fan of remotes because they need to have their batteries changed, and they get lost or broken or swapped with other remotes. This unit is the perfect answer. I have paired it with a fan control and light dimmer control (2 separate switches) from the Lutron Caseta product line. If I want to add a wireless remote later, I can do that. I'm pretty sure I could also swap out the 2 Caseta switches for a single Lutron Maestro fan/dimmer control (which I've used on other fans), but I don't think that one supports a remote.Bottom line: This Carro 52" ceiling fan/light is perfect for my hard-wired application, and I have ordered 3 more. In fact, the only other fan/lights I could find that support this hard-wired configuration are made by the Monte Carlo company. I have owned 3 Monte Carlo fans and they are excellent, but much more expensive. The Carro 52" gets the job done for a lower price. The only flaw is lack of a dimmer functionon the switch.

Great Fuctionality!
This fan is great! I got it on Sale for $150 so look for it at that price if you'd like to save.It was quick and easy to install. I took out my old fan and had this one in in less than an hour.It really is VERY QUIET. Compared to the fan it's replacing, it is basically silent and moves twice as much air! It has actually made the floor tower fan I own obsolete. The switch connected easily and works well with the app and Google Home.In another review, someone mentioned this fan being a good price because it does not have a remote. I prefer this setup. I do not need another small remote to look for and it works VERY well with voice commands so I don't even need to look for or open my phone to use the app. I cannot claim to know the price of other fans that offer anything similar but I am very happy with this purchase.

Almost a perfect fan
I wanted a ceiling fan + light that could purely be controlled by wall switch. But, Amazon was flooded with remote control ceiling fan... so I got super excited when I came across this fan. The esthetics looked great and the value was good too.Pros:- Looks exactly like in the pictures.- Easy to assemble.- Fan speeds are sufficient for my spacious main bedroom with 11ft ceiling.- Light is decent too.- No worrying sounds.Cons:- The switch limits the fan's ability! The light is actually dimmable but the switch does not have that option. The fan has 4 levels but the switch has only 3. Luckily I already had a fan and dimmer smart switch installed so I am able to use the fan to its full potential. I'd recommend getting a dimmer and fan combo smart switch seperately.

A good fan—suggested remedy for overly bright light
We are happy with the fan, (though they actually sent the wrong color fixture first time around), but the 3000K lamp is not dimmable and was too bright for us. But we found a solution. We prefer 2700K color temperature, so I purchased some photographer’s colored gel sheets (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08814S8KM?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) and was easily able to change the color and intensity of the light. I recommend this solution to anyone who has the same distaste for overly bright and overly bluish cast to the higher color temperature lighting that’s popular today. The fixture itself is great, and very quiet. The fan IS reversible, but you have to switch the direction using a toggle switch on the top of the unit, which wasn’t entirely clear from the directions.

Love it
We did not have that fourth blue wire mentioned in the comments, but luckily our previous fan had a light kit installed and we were able to reuse it on this fan and keep the current wall switches. I don’t have the capability to use the app since we did this, but the fan and light work perfectly and separately with the buttons on our wall switch, so I don’t mind. I like that the light color is more of a warm color instead of that bright LED color I see on a lot of new lights. Very pretty and modern light for a good price!

modern looking, smart switch
The fan itself is a regular dumb ceiling fan with three wire connection, but the wall switch is smart, which is great. So switch can be replaced with any other smart or dumb switch of your choice. Easy integration with Alexa. The only downside is hard to understand manual, but I could install it with no manual at all

Wiring nightmare
This fan may be pretty but it’s beauty is only skin deep! We have successfully installed many ceiling fans over the years but this one still isn’t working properly. We even had a handyman give it a try and he said it is impossible to do what the instructions say. Save your time and money and get something else!

Quite and looking nice
I run a 14/3 cable through the attic and to the existing light switch; this was the most difficult part of the installation. Three speeds and only one light setting option. The light cannot be dimmed with the switch. It is either on or off. The LED light is built in and the color is almost daylight or 5000K which is good when cleaning the room but to relax it is not appropriate.
