Got it for my nephews birthday and he absolutely loves it, a bit smaller than I expected but it still chugs along, and the best part is that the train whistle batteries are separate from the motor so they can go dead(be removed while they aren't looking). If you have a young child this is great, though make sure you're aware of size, my two year old nephew will probably have outgrown it by next year.

The media could not be loaded. Was birthday present for my grandson who loves trains!!! Its a bit smaller than expected but he still loves to ride it both inside and outside the house. He just turned 3. The train will work on or off the tracks and has whistle sound too. Very easy to put together, less than 5 minutes and quality is pretty good. I bought the extra straight track to make the layout bigger to go around table on the deck as the track included only makes a 6ft circle. Also got the recommended conductor hat, scarf and whistle set and he wears it all the time! I would definitely recommend.

Garbage bought for my grandson for Christmas, he's 2. Already In the garbage. Fell apart. Steering came off and screw won't go back in. Don't waste your money.

The first train I received was defective and would not charge, BUT I'm giving 5 stars because of the wonderful customer service! I contacted the seller and they tried to help me troubleshoot the issue. When it appeared nothing was working, they sent out a new train set—they did NOT ask me to send the broken one back, no further charges or shipping as some reviews have mentioned. The new set came quickly and works perfectly. They were very responsive and helpful, and the train is super cute. The colors reminded me of Thomas the Tank Engine, so it will be a big hit for my Thomas-loving son.

The train is flimsy and the track is very thin. I think the train itself needs foot pegs or a larger area to put the child's feet on. The train also needs more of a back support so when the child pushes the button to go forward it will not startle them and make them think they will fall off. If you have watched some of the reviews already posted you will also see the train is not very fast. Once we worked with our granddaughter she did okay and did have a smile on her face. You get what you pay for some of the other trains had the items I mentioned, But they were more money.

My son is obsessed with trains, so this was a hit. We do have a small, two year and he fits this train perfectly. Unsure if it will have longevity until he’s 3 years old I only wish that there were spots for him to rest his feet.
