Fix that common P1405 OBDII code
I ordered this DP sensor to replace the one throwing a P1405 OBD code on my 2000 F-150. The truck has 157K miles, not bad for a 20-year old 4x4 with a 5.4 Triton engine. Anybody who owns a Ford knows this is a relativley common point of failure in the EGR system. The hose pulling hot exhaust to the sensor trarts melting and next thing you know, the DP sensor has a melted base, the electronics embedded in the clear resin as scorched, and the hose connectors are simply gone. Not to worry! This replacement sensor module will solve your problems. Be sure to replace the 3/8" hoses as well. I bought 2 feet of hose (you only need 14" or so if you replace both hoses). The total time to replace the sensor is ~ 5 minutes, 3 of which you could be drinking a nice Bold Rock Unfiltered Draft cider. Well, at least I was. Anyway, use a 5/16" socket on a "wobble" 8" extension on your 3/8" drive ratchet and you'll be fine lickety-split.To clear the code, just disconnect the battery's negative terminal, which- By The Way- uses the same socket. Makes for convenient and easy code-clearing.Since I only had one cider, I grabbed keys and tooled around the neighborhood just to be sure the code stayed gone, and it did. Easy fix, inexpensive fix, and the EGR system will now be able to work properly again.

Part seems to be working and was alot cheaper then the local parts houses.
I still seem to be chasing EGR issues and getting the engine light to stay off. But overall this part was exactly what it was suppose to be. Would of been better had it come with new hoses to the egr tube tho
