Looking for a decent winch to put on my atv for deer out of creeks and up hills. With pretty good line speed. Any suggestions?

I have not encountered a relay. I have used the winch connected directly to the battery with jumper cables, with no problem.

Will this work on a golf cart?

Sure as long as you have a 12volt battery. Don't know what you want to do with it but, if you are using it for a winch it will do fine. Be sure to hook it up 12 volt only meaning if you have an electric golf cart you will have to tap 12 volts somehow. Good luck, should be easy. Jim
