GrovTec GTHM247 Muzzle Thread

I am using this on my Kalifornia neutered AR builds. Though this is a .308 protector, it fits on my 6.8 SPC II barrel. I checked with the mfg before I ordered this item. They said this is the size I needed for the barrel /threads.Since this unconstitutional "law" came into affect, I am modifying the AR to make it featureless. This does the job I want. I DESPISE muzzle brakes and pure compensators. They are too noisy and just rude.I am using a crush washer with this protector, but in reality you can get away with not using the crush washer. I know, I have actually shot it without the washer (had not yet arrived) and it did not work loose or cause any problems.The threads are well machined and there is not production marks on the device. It threaded smoothly with no grit or hang ups. I would/am boing to buy this item again. Worth the money.

I ordered this thread protector based purely on the style of it. That being the two stripes. As it would have complimented my barrel by well. What showed up is a completely different thread protector. It looks fine. But it's disappointing to order something and receive something else. So, one star.

Fits perfectly and looks great on 0.75" OD barrels. Some negative reviews have complained it is "thin walled" but it is designed to fit flush on standard 0.75" outer diameter AR barrels, where a thicker protector would look goofy. Similarly if you have a thick heavier barrel or bull barrel you will want to buy a thread protector with a thicker outer diameter.

Bought this for my 6.8 SPC build. It fits perfectly. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that the picture is different from what I received, which has one engraved line, instead of the two pictured. But it's well made, nicely finished and perfect for my purposes.

Didn’t end up using it, but the fit and finish was great. Just too much flash out of a 16.5 bbl 308 win. for low light hunting. Went with a titanium flash hider instead.

Works like advertised, but item you receive is not item pictured. It's odd they don't have a correct picture of the item. It threads onto a barrel...so I guess it works great.

Excellent quality. Made in the USA. Fits the barrel of my Sig Sauer SIG716 perfectly. I highly recommend this product.

Now tell me, does the item in my photo look like the item in their photo? I received cheap thin-walled junk. Well doggie, I guess Joe Bob done sold me the wrong thang... golly!
