Great series, little short.
The series is great but the books are short. But if your children are just starting out maybe it's good for them. Translations are good and makes sense. So far my daughter enjoys it.

Cute story
My kids really enjoyed this book! It is quite refreshing to see Asian protagonist doing regular every day things. My kids connected to the book as sisters although you don’t have to be a sister or female child to enjoy the book. There was lot of useful vocabulary to learn. Both the English and Chinese stories were fun to read and good language exposure. I like how they tackle the farmer market through different senses. As a family that is learning Chinese as a second language, this book was really useful. Illustrations are great too! I recommend this book!

Great for young readers and families
This is a nicely written and beautifully illustrated, colourful book about two young sisters as they adventure through the food market. It has been a fun way to discuss healthy food choices with our kids. Also there is a lovely sense of family that you can see in this book, as with the Mina series. We've enjoyed it very much.

Fun way to introduce a great amount of vocabulary!
I will start this by saying I am not a Mandarin speaker. It could be said I am just starting my Mandarin learning journey. That said, I really enjoyed the trip to the Farmer’s market and how so much vocabulary was introduced during the trip - colors, fruits and vegetables, shapes, textures … I think the translation is not a word by word translation but that is fine. Different languages are spoken differently so word by word doesn’t necessarily make sense. The pictures are very nice and colorful. I also felt the book showed/supported diversity. And nice way to add the rule of looking right and left before crossing the street! Congratulations to the author!

Bright colourful book
A happy story about sisters exploring a farmer's market. Lots of great colours, sights, and smells (for the characters). Makes me look forward to farmer's market season soon. Would be keen to see this one in Cantonese!
