I actually bought this inflatable wedge due to the fact that my bed sits in a corner and it’s nearly impossible to get a fitted sheet onto my extremely deep mattress and mattress pad. Now, all I have to do is inflate the wedge and the fitted sheet comes off easily And the clean sheet placed on just as easily. Before I had to reach down and brutally hoisted the corner up with one arm while trying to position it with the other. My actually strained my shoulder on more than one occasion. That being the case, I probably changed my sheets once a month. With this wedge, it’s so easy I’m able to change them every week. Nothing better than sleeping on clean sheets. I can’t speak to it as a lift for those who want to read in bed or sit up for any other purpose, but it seems like it would work fine for that purpose as well. Based on my limited experience.

Product was recommended my disabled mom by hospital physical therapist. My mom has tons of medical issues but isn’t ready for a full time hospital bed. She sleeps with a Trilogy vent at night and having her head elevated is important. I was a skeptical as she has a regular mattress set with a foam topper. Well, I put it under the mattress and it worked flawlessly. No shifting of the mattress or uneven leveling. She sleep alone in a queen bed and weighs around 155lbs. Assuming the pump holds up, this device is a great alternative to expensive adjustable beds. The bladder inflates and deflates quickly and is easily adjustable to the users needs. The full pump isn’t quiet but adjusting it more than once during the sleep period probably isn’t going to happen. I’d highly recommend this product to anyone looking for lower cost solution to making any mattress adjustable.

I had unplanned surgery and finding this came in the end stages of recovery, but wish I had known about and had this sooner. This is such a wonderful idea. Really helps if you are still weak in recovering from an injury or have pain like I did using your midsection to lift up out of bed. This really does the work for you and keeps pain to a minimum (at least in my case). Due to my particular circumstances, I did not get to try this out right away and found that it lost air throughout the night, therefore sinking slowly down to the flat position. I recommend this product, but also highly recommend giving it a good trial run before you need it & before your return window expires. Couple thing to note before deciding: The pump is not extremely loud, but it is disruptive if you have someone sleeping in the room with you & you need to adjust in the middle of the night. We had a hard time deciding on whether to get the twin size just for me or the size to fit our bed. on the one hand, if it only inflates under one person the other person is going to be sleeping on a slant & that person will have to be the one to determine if that is going to hinder their sleep. On the other hand, being under us both means that when one needs/wants to sleep highly elevated the other is required to sleep that same way and may not be able to sleep well. There is a toggle button for more inflation/sleeping elevated & less inflation/more flat. This button is a more gentle rise and lower. nothing jerky or super quick. & there is another "Flat" button. This releases as much air as possible to get you into the flat position. This button does not use the pump in any way. It has an initial loud click, like it is releasing the "stopper" on the plug and then slowly/gently loses air. If you have difficulty lifting your mattress you will definitely need help situating this item. Overall, for what I needed it for I would definitely recommend. As a side note: I sometimes get headaches from laying flat and have in the past tried to makeshift a ramp to help lessen the headache and this has come in handy for that purpose as well. Again, I did not give 5 stars due to the fact that mine loses air during the night.

I read the other reviews warning not to buy this, and I bought it anyways thinking there were enough good reviews to offset the bad reviews. So I'm here now also saying do NOT buy this product. It starts leaking through pump after about a month, past the return period. Must be some sort of a defect inside of the pump that keeps the valve closed. I had a hard time opening it up to try and fix it because they use some specialty screws. If I can get in there I might have a chance to reset the valve. Do NOT waste your money and buy this, it's now too late for me to return it. This is absolute junk. UPDATE: April 21, 2026. I have a PhD in Engineering and that's what it took to fix this. (See the attached picture). I ordered the TORX screwdriver set from Amazon so I can finish disassembling the pump unit. Turns out there's a small (< 1 mm) thick piece of plastic that holds the vent diaphragm in place, which broke because the solenoid snaps so powerfully that it broke the little piece of plastic holding it together. My solution: I held down the spring with tweezers, heated up the tip of the plastic, and then smashed it flat so that it holds the spring in place to the keep the diaphragm in the "normally closed" position. I also added some Scotch tape in between the diaphragm and solenoid for "padding" purposes, and then when I reassembled it I only tightened the screws enough to allow for a small opening in the diaphragm to release the air. So I managed to fix this, and it's working great now. But unless you're willing to fix this after you buy it (which I don't recommend you do!), do NOT buy this product! It's going to eventually break on you, most likely after the return window closes.

I bought this in April 2017 in twin size. It's been sitting inflated in one position for most of that time, in use under a day bed mattress used for napping as I have severe gerd. More recently due to illness it has been used more often being inflated and deflated to different heights. I've had absolutely no problem with it losing air. I will mention I've been very careful to protect the blow up portion where it sits against the wire metal bed frame. I put a piece of cardboard under it and a piece of rug non-slip rubbery mesh on top of the cardboard and under the genie. I guess my one piece of advice otherwise would be that it does make quite a bit of noise inflating so adjusting it during the night if you have a bed partner might become an issue. It essentially sounds like a vacuum. It's only for a few seconds but it could wake a sensitive partner. So just bear in mind you'll want to adjust it up as high as you want before you go to sleep. Adjusting it down is very quiet it just releases the air. Considering the price of the automatic adjustable beds if you're looking for something less expensive and actually even portable (I took it with me on vacation by car and used it in a hotel room) then this is a good purchase.

Works very well for it's intended purpose, however there seems to be no right/left compartments, and when used by a single person the air goes to the opposite side. And if you use a heated blanket or mattress pad, you don't want to sleep in the middle. Too bad they don't make one for a single bed.

My husband is a disabled vet and senior. He had a hard time sleeping due to sinus problems and snoring. He needed to sleep with head elevation. Since we are bold seniors and didn't want to deal with the weight of a full steel adjustable bed and installation, I ordered this, it is very easy to setup and use, and is portable. He loves it, with the remote he can handle it very well. If he watches TV he can adjust the comfort level. I would suggest this product to anyone that is looking for an adjustable bed. Also this is half the price. Very satified.

My inflatable bed wedge came as expected, I read all of the instructions. I also read the reviews, one of which said the mattress goes up on the opposite side when she laid down. I didn't quite understand what was meant. I'll explain: I have a king sized bed, I am the only one that sleeps in my bed. The inflatable wedge goes across the whole width of the bed under the mattress, when it is inflated and I lay on my side of the the mattress my weight pushes some of the air to the other side causing the mattress to rise. Since I'm the only one in a king size bed I should have bought a twin size inflatable wedge. Even though it rises on the other side it raises my side enough to do the job. The wedge is well made, simple to put together and easy to operate. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Worked well until warranty was off then will not hold air. Can still inflate it but it is flat after a few hours.

I needed this in a hurry and did not check first. This is an American market item and needs a 120V supply. Unfortunately it does not say this in the description. If you have the adapter and plug it into UK mains it will blow up. I have just done this. The product may be great but should not be bought in the UK.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT AS IT IS MANUFACTURED FOR THE AMERICAN MARKET. IF YOU PUT POWER TO THIS EQUIPMENT IS COULD CAUSE ELECTRICUTION OF FIRE DUE TO VOLTAGE DIFFERENCE

I am not pleased that this unit does not stay inflated. I must pump it up 3-4 times each night.
