Impressive performance for the price! Touchscreen + Tablet Mode = Win
Iโve been using the Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5 (14โ, i3, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD) for a few weeks now, and itโs honestly a solid choice for everyday use.The touchscreen is super responsive, and the tent/tablet mode makes it really versatile for things like streaming, note-taking, or working on the go. I use it mostly for light productivity browsing, Word docs, content planning and it handles it well without lag.Battery life is decent, and the build quality feels premium for the price. Itโs lightweight and portable, which is great for students or remote workers.โ ๏ธ Just note: itโs not meant for gaming or heavy editing, but for basic tasks, it delivers. The stylus is a nice bonus if you take notes or sketch.Overall, itโs a great budget-friendly laptop that punches above its price. Would recommend for students, casual users, and anyone who needs a reliable everyday device.

Great Little LapTop
My old laptop was slow and on its last legs. Ironically also a Lenovo. I was hesitant to get another one, but after doing my research, and knowing what I needed a laptop for, this one came up multiple times on multiple lists. My husband agreed it was time for a new one and I decided to go with this one.I am thrilled that I did. It starts up super-fast compared to my old one and shuts down very quickly. While it doesn't have a backlit keyboard, that isn't a dealbreaker for me. The keys are responsive, and the keyboard is comfortable. The touchscreen is great and easy to use. I haven't had much need to use it yet, but I can see where it will be beneficial. I love the fact that I can convert the laptop, and it is easily portable. I bought a case to carry it around in that is fantastic and it fits great in. For avoiding scratches (since I have a dog) I did purchase a snap on case that is my favorite color purple and I can add stickers to. (links to both below)I have had zero issues with my laptop since getting it and I would gladly buy it again. Since I plan on using it for pictures and there is no SD card reader, I made sure to purchase an external SD card reader with a USB connection. (last product link)If you're looking for a budget laptop, this is definitely one to consider.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08PK4RTXV?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_detailshttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B08RC88H2Z?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_detailshttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B08P1T8R46?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

A good value
I'm an amateur musician and I noticed that a number of my colleagues were using large format iPads for their sheet music, so I looked into it and found that the large iPads were quite expensive, so I decided to see if I could find a cheaper alternative. I found a refurbished unit of this IdeaPad for $219 (thru Amazon), so I purchased it and a Lenovo touchpad stylus (an additional $30). For my purposes, I was looking for a unit with an HD screen, a touchpad, and the ability to convert to a tablet (so it can sit on a music stand). This IdeaPad only has 4GB of RAM, but that is plenty for my purposes. It only has a 128GB M.2 drive (which, again, is plenty for my purposes), but it can be upgraded by the user to a generic 1TB M.2 drive for $50. For my project, I wiped the Windows 11 installation in favor of xubuntu 22. It installs easily once the secure boot feature is disabled in the BIOS.As for fitness of purpose, I just got this IdeaPad, so I don't know how well it will work as a sheet music alternative. I still need to modify some GPL'd PDF display software ("xournal" seems to be the best candidate I've seen so far) for ease of use during a 2.5 hour rehearsal. Also, preliminary tests seem to indicate that the battery probably won't last for a full rehearsal with the display being driven full-time.I knocked a star off the touchscreen for its non-intuitive behavior -- the screen starts to respond when one moves the stylus within about 3mm. This has led to some stray marks in my early tests. I knocked off 2 stars from the battery life because of its performance under load. This may be because I purchased a refurbished unit, so take it with a grain of salt.

Updated review
The price for a 2 in 1 was hard to beat. The battery life isn't that great but besides that it works just fine.UPDATED: Had to co.e back here to update this review.. unfortunately after about two months of using it, the hinges were already worn out despite overusing them or opening/closing hard. I couldn't even open it without my screen almost breaking. Fixed it myself temporarily but now I can't open it up completely to use as a tablet because I had to put in screws to hold it together.. looked up the issue with the hinges and apparently it's a common issue with this brand as they are cheaply made. Very upsetting.. wouldn't have bought it knowing this information

Great budget laptop at 1250 DHS
There is nothing not to like about this laptop. Yes, it is only 4 GB of RAM and is not upgradable but at this price point, it is acceptable. It has a fantastic screen: excellent color accuracy, high brightness, and touch support. The SSD is an M.2 drive that can be upgradeable, and it comes with a fingerprint sensor. Ports are with great availability with all of them being 3.2 gen 1 and USB power delivery. Great trackpad and keyboard and a fast enough processor for all education work.If you want a laptop for school or on a tight budget, this laptop is the best choice.Sidenote:If you think that 4GB of RAM is low for your use, you can buy a high-end SSD to compensate for the lack of RAM and the system will use that SSD as extra RAM because SSDs are so fast these days, the performance hit will be minimal. I recommend a Crucial P5 for its value.

Is really affordable and good for the price. Makes a great Electronic Paper replacement Laptop.
This is the best laptop for electronic paper. Cheap, affordable does work with MS Word.$450 is really good price. I disabled all the start up apps. Updated word and Windows 11 updates. Comes with Windows 11. Removed programs that I will never use as well. All I do is run Word and take notes, so it's fantastic. Flips over great. Heat is really cool, has exhaust on back and on the side. Has side button for on and off.The only thing slow, is the CPU, I3 Does work, is kinda slow, but after shutting down programs I don't use, then it works great. I would love a coolz faster processor. CPU Speed. For me transitioning to electronic paper. Lenovo Flex 5i is great starter, and future will think about Flex 15 and more. Really makes me believe and work with electronic paper from now.
