Successful germination and seedlings - when grown with care
Have been meaning to write this for a while - have had good success growing seedlings from several separate orders. In 2023, my first try and following the instructions to keep the damp seeds in the refrigerator for a month then sow, I got 42 seedlings out of 100 seeds. This year in 2025 I got 5 seedlings from 100 seeds but did not do the refrigeration treatment. This year my brother got 21 seedlings from 60 seeds doing the refrigeration treatment.Of the original 43 seedlings many (being about 4 inches high) died the first winter outdoors in a cold frame - I think it was from fungal infection. Leaving me with 7 - 5 of them I out wintered this past second winter in the open in 6 inch pots well mulched around - living in Massachusetts where the winters are cold. Although they went largely brown from the cold they have greened up this spring and are doing well along with the two I in wintered. I have planted 5 in my back garden woods.

Unusable
I'm very upset with these seeds. Really what I got was a package of unusable crushed seed powder. Even after sorting through them I have not found one single seed that is intact and plantable. I'm gonna try and replace or refund.

Comes with confusing growing instructions
Seeds are as advertised. The package comes with a little card with a link for growing instructions. But the instructions are locked behind an access code supposedly on the receipt. I don't have this! So no instructions for me.
