Kaytee Field+Forest Hamster or Gerbil Food 2 Pounds

My little gal, a teddy bear hamster, Hammie Hammertoes, loves this food. It's an essential food that is packed with all the nutrients her little body needs. We don't just give her these pellets, we also add some fun to her diet with hamster-friendly fresh fruit, veggies, and yummy hard-boiled eggs.

The hamster food seems to be good quality. Hammy seems to like the food. Its a good value for the money and size.

When hamsters get older, they change their taste preference and develop some problems. We crush the pellets using a crusher bowl. At least, one of our Djungarian hamsters loves it. If you think each pellet is too big for your hamsters, just crush it.

This is a great, healthy food source for my hamster. Stays fresh and I only feed her maybe a handful a week, so it's a great value.

We have 3 Syrian hamsters (all in their own enclosures) and thought this food looked healthy. We give this along with other seed and nut mixes. They love these pellets! They are large pellets about the same size as a high protein rat cube food they have. Two of the hamsters find these first (we scatter feed) and take them immediately to their food hoard area.Anytime I find something my animals like I stick to it. This food is definitely a must have for us now so I'm glad I found out about it. I would definitely recommend it for hamsters to add to seed and nut mixes to add the extra vitamins these have.

I have two dwarf hamsters and one regular-size hamster. All three of them like the Field+Forest by Kaytee Hamster Food. The pieces are larger than the previous food we had fed them, so I usually put in a few pieces at a time and let them eat that (mixed with their other food) before adding more. None of them have experienced any negative effects from eating this food. I like the mix of ingredients in this food, and our gerbil enjoys the taste. He took to the rather large chunks right away. There is no timothy hay in this—only grain and plant proteins. Field & Forest complements our routine feeding plan—we combine this with fresh water, healthy snacks and fresh greens.

My son's hamster would not or could not... Not sure which but they are probably more for bigger animals than a small hamster.
