Our Carmel Malibu tile design is inspired by the Malibu potteries in Malibu, California, from the 20 and 30's. 1. The tiles are hand-painted in Los Angeles, CA USA by Felix scheming (and staff) who is one of the original students of the Malibu tile factory. 2. The Malibu tile style of design comes from Spanish and arabesque (and Moorish) geometric patterns reproducing the styles of tile making from many centuries ago. 3. These tile styles are great for Spanish, craftsman, southwestern and other traditional styles of homes. 4. Great for the kitchen, kitchen counters, backsplashes, outdoor (not in freezing temperatures), fire-place surround, door or window surround, floor inserts, bathroom or shower tiles or stair risers. You create the space we provide the art. 5. Each tile is hand-crafted on the highest quality Italian terracotta tile for lifetimes of use.
