Loving This Game
I bought this game to use with my granddaughter who is in second grade. We got it yesterday. So far she is loving it. We played last night and she asked to play again today. It is helping her with both phonics and sight words. I've noticed she is already remembering new words and some phonics rules. We are having fun while she learns reading skills. This game is a winner!

Learning is fun!
So my child was obsessed with Zingo Sight Words. First, although rating BAM Bingo highly, Zingo is a superior game with a few draws. Zingo's sight words are limited and if my three year old was taking to learning sight words through zingo, why not try to foster that with something further? The best option I found in my searching was BAM Bingo. The dispenser in Zingo is super fun. This doesn't have that. Minor. No biggie. The fun designs for the words is better in zingo ...each word has a unique design, sometimes associated with meaning, other times just a little colorful. That's fun. BAM Bingo, everything looks the same. I still got say the best part in BAM Bingo is the sheer amount and variety of sight words to allow us to continue the learning fun. Child also likes the Emoji markers. Cheap pieces of cardboard but what more do you need? It works and we are gaining new words. What more could I want? Also will mention ....2 levels so we have lots of use to come too. Hopefully his excitement continues.

Age appropriate?
This game is reportedly recommended for 4 year olds. Even the beginner level has words that seem advanced for children just learning to read. Plus, the words are in lower case letters. Most kids learn upper case letters first. I will keep working with my 4 year old because he is bright and is eager to read.

Great game
Con- One of the sheets came damaged. But the rest were fine. Could be a little sturdier.Con/Pro- my daughter liked the silly faces and had fun putting them on. But this also got distracting and kept her from wanting to read the words.Pro- they have fun twists like cover the one that starts with an LPro- their are a variety of words from easy to more difficult.

Great for practice & new readers
My 3rd grader who struggles with reading and needs more practice and my 5 yr old who is learning to read both love this. It helps with recognition and practice. It's a fun way to keep practicing sight words.
