Cuisinart DCC-3200AMZ PerfecTemp 14 Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Stainless Steel

I originally purchased the Cuisinart DCC-3200 PerfectTemp 14-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker on October 31, 2018, for $75.92. Nearly eight years later, it still makes excellent, hot coffee. It recently began making a slight squeaking noise during the brewing cycle, so I decided to play it safe and purchase the same model again on August 2, 2026. That should say plenty about how much I like this coffee maker. It is dependable, easy to operate, makes a full 14-cup pot, and has served me well for almost eight years. I would not have bought the exact same model again if the first one had not performed so well. My only complaint is the price increase. The original cost $75.92, while the replacement cost $107.43 before tax—an increase of $31.51, or about 41%. Even with the higher price, its performance and longevity made it worth buying again. Five stars.

Love love love it for a consistently good cup of coffee and so easy! This is our second one of this exact same coffee pot, the previous one lasted about 7 years until it got a crack somewhere and started leaking so the value for the money is definitely there. We debated getting something different this time around but I couldn’t stray from something that we already knew worked great and we never had any issues with. Consistently brews a great flavor and temperature cup of coffee, easy to clean and set up. Would definitely recommend, and the fact that you can set it up the night before and program it to brew is a great feature!

UPDATE AFTER USING FOR 6 WEEKS: I've been using this new Cuisinart almost every day for 6 weeks, and have NEVER had any issues with the carafe leaking/spilling OR the condensation on the maker lid leaking water onto my countertop when I open it up to add coffee grounds and pour water into the reservoir. Not even once. The only thing I can think of to explain SOME of those carafe complaints is that they are trying to pour from the carafe TOO fast. I must admit 10 years ago when I FIRST got my old Cuisinart2800, I tried pouring from the carafe and poured too fast and spilled. But just a slight slow down fixed it and no issues since. But other than that pour speed issue, I have no idea what those reviewers were doing to cause the maker or the carafe to leak water as they described. Everything else I wrote in my initial review still stands too! ============================================================= I read thru a LOT of reviews on this Cuisinart DCC3200NAS (this is the SS and Black). I JUST set it up on my countertop last night and ran a pot of plain hot water thru it as suggested. This morning I made my first pot of coffee in it!! 9 cups. Very tasty coffee! BUT this review is NOT about how good the coffee is. Nearly all the reviews have established that its great. This review addresses a few of the most common complaints about this coffee maker. FYI: This new 3200 replaced a refurbed Cuisinart DCC2800WFR I had for 10 years that recently started leaking water. The MOST common complaint is the carafe. I am honestly NOT sure why. The new carafe seems IDENTICAL (except black plastic vs white) to the carafe that was on my 2800 that I used for 10 years with no issues. Spout dripping: The easiest way to MAKE the spout drip is pouring too fast. Just slow your pour down a TICH. I put water for 9 cups in my carafe and poured it into my water reservoir in about 10 seconds without spilling a drop. It works exactly the same way AND as well as my 2800 carafe did for 10 years. No spills. No issues. HELPFUL HINT: Make SURE the 3200 lid is FULLY opened (past 90 degrees) before you try to fill the reservoir. Then just rest the carafe spout on the SIDE of the reservoir with the water level indicator. Pour. Done. Carafe Lid not hinged and/or too tough to take off and/or put back on properly: Not hinged is true! But why is that bad? I don't know. It snaps off and on easily for me. Has for 10 years. And I don't even bother taking the lid off to fill the carafe with water. Just fill it thru the spout hole! The new carafe lid DOES require a SLIGHTLY firmer push to pop it off and back on than my old carafe, but I'm guessing in 12 months this one will pop off and on a little easier than it does now too. HELPFUL HINT: Pop the carafe lid off by LIFTING the tab that your thumb sits on when holding the carafe. Pop it back on in reverse: Insert spout side first, then pop the thumb side down. Done. Easy peasy. The 3200 control panel is significantly different from my old 2800. I read a couple reviews that suggested the 3200 control panel was difficult to understand and use properly!?! I found the exact opposite to be true. Once you know exactly what option each button controls (button labels seem clear & obvious to me), setting the options properly is completely simple. As you press each button, it cycles thru the available settings for that option. Stop pressing that button when that option is set to your liking. If you miss it, cycle around again. Done. The basket the filter sits in DOES need to be PUSHED fully back down such that it "pops" down into the maker after being removed (in my 2800, it just dropped in loosely). BUT that is obvious to the careful user since it requires that same "pop" to remove that basket in the first place. If that basket is NOT popped down into place, the carafe lid won't reach (much less push up on) the spring loaded valve on the underside of that basket, so that valve would stay closed, and as your maker dumps more water into your filter, coffee grounds will overflow your filter and go everywhere including the bottom of the water reservoir. PS: Same thing happens if you put a LIDLESS carafe in the coffee maker! Lid isn't there to push up on the valve, so the valve stays closed. I found the 5 "Coffee is Done" beeps and the 2 "Heating Pad Off" beeps to be the right volume for my house. Not loud, BUT loud enough that on a normal (ie: semi-quiet) morning, I can hear it from the next room easy. AND it is super fast and easy to turn the beeping off and back on with the "Tone" option button if you need to. Bottom Line for me: I am boggled by all the carafe and reservoir filling issues so many reviewers have! I have NO dripping issues or lid issues with my carafe, NO reservoir filling issues, and NO setup or control panel issues. All 5 stars. Now lets just see if it stands the test of time like my 2800 did!

I have had this model several times over the last maybe eight years or so, and it is the best coffee maker I've had. A number of years ago a leading consumer magazine reported that it was only one of two coffee makers they tested at that time in which the water got hot enough, reaching the proper brewing temperature. It is the best coffee maker I've had. I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 only because I have had three of this model and I think a couple of the of the DCC 1200, and all of them only lasted about two years each. I usually only brew about 3 1/2 cups at a time and set the burner to stay on for only 20 to 25 minutes. Still, these coffee makers have only lasted about two years before the heating element burns out. I am replacing my last purchase in just under two years because, in this case the Bold function that slows down the brewing, has stopped working and I can't get the flavor of coffee I like. The Bold button still lights up but it does not slow down the brewing as it should, the last few times I've used it. I find I need to descale it with a mixture of water and vinegar as per instructs, every few months, which is fine, but with any Cuisinart coffee maker I've had, even if it is quite a while without cleaning and needs descaling, the Clean button which is supposed to light up when it needs cleaning, has never done so. That's a minor complaint as you can sort of tell when it needs cleaning when the brewing slows down and the temperatures is not as hot. And using the Clean function running a mixture of one third white vinegar and two thirds water usually restores it. As I mentioned, in this case the heating element is still working properly (that would probably go bad soon however based on past experience) but the Bold function just stopped working, in just under two years. It's a great coffee maker, I just wish it was more durable. Update: it probably wasn't the Bold function just the heating element going bad, and had to replace it with another of the same. See update below. One other note. I saw at least one of the reviewers complain that you couldn't raise the lid far enough to fill the reservoir from the carafe easily. This is not true. The lid can be raised to just past vertical, and all you need to do is, with the carafe lid on, rest the spout of the carafe on the top edge of the side of the coffee maker at the reservoir opening, and it is easy to pour that way. Update: It may not have been the Bold function that was at fault, just the temperature dropping. Anyway, I did get a new one of the same model. It turns out the fault not with the temperature of my coffee maker, but with a four-year-old Cuisinart Coffee Burr Mill, in which the burrs were not as sharp as they should have been, creating larger grinds mixed with powder. So I purchased a new Cuisinart Burr Mill and the coffee maker seems to be working fine. However before I discovered the real problem I had ordered yet another new 14 Cup Cuisinart Coffee, which I would have kept for a backup, except the beep that signals when the coffee is finished brewing was much louder on the previous unit, which I preferred--I could hear it in the next room. They can also be turned off for those who don't want to hear it. The tone on the on the new unit is much fainter--I can hardly hear it a few feet away, sort of like the beeps on some of their older models used to be. This seems to be a quality control issue, as I don't believe they have intentionally lowered the volume of the beep in this unit, as a review from just a couple weeks ago says it has a loud beep. Since the tone can be turned off, I prefer it to be loud enough to hear in the next room. So I returned new unit with the faint beeping sound. Based on past experience I should expect a little more than a year more of use from my current coffee maker before the element starts failing.

One of the best and cheapest, good looking coffee makers out there. I have one at home and one at the office for years and it works everyday. The coffee is hot, it keeps it fairly hot not burned, easy to fill, easy to add coffee. I have bought many coffee makers and some are much much more expensive. But just for a good consistent pot of coffee once you get the correct measurements of coffee and water I think there is none better. It came with the gold filter which is good since I never use paper, it has a few brew temp and carafe temps and you can set the timer to brew automatically. It does not take up much space is fairly easy to keep clean. The water tank though does take a bit of work to get clean and keep clean though. Over time it gets pretty rank and I cleaned mine by spraying soap and Clorox in it and using a dishrag to clean it out. I then rinsed it out in the sink all the time being upside down so as this would not enter the brew track. Once cleaned and rinsed then filled with water and ran a couple of pots of water through it and its as good as new. Now unless your a professional, I don't recommend doing this LOL but it never stopped working and never stopped brewing a good cup of coffee. Looks and works as good as the day it was purchased. I did buy another one and had a funeral for the old one after many years. It still worked, so it was hard to part with but the wife said we had to get a new one. Sheesh, Why? O well you know how that goes.

I love this coffee maker. We had this model for at least 5 years. Still worked perfectly but I decided I'd like to buy a new one. I was pleasantly surprised that Cuisinart still makes this coffee maker, the same as previously had, but slightly different buttons etc a bit sleeker, but same functions. It is worth the money. I'd like to buy another one just to have it in the future, as often often times, you cannot always get the same coffee maker in the future. I highly recommend this wonderful coffee maker by Cuisinart.

This has been a great coffee maker. Its large capacity is great for when you have company it fits in a small footprint and it keeps the coffee hot! The programming is easy to use and it brews fairly quickly. I am very pleased with it.

This BKSP1 (black stainless appearance) 14-cup coffeemaker replaced a 12+ year old Cuisinart 12-cup unit we used until it finally quit working. Great coffeemaker and it produced great coffee. My research to replace the old unit settled on the BKSP1 model and Amazon delivered straight-a-way. I got it all cleansed out, programmed and set up for begin brewing at 4:45 the next morning. It brewed a great pot of coffee and all worked wonderfully ... EXCEPT that the clock on the BKSP1 was running FAST. It had "gained" almost an hour since I had set it up the day before. Thus the coffee was actually brewed at ~3:45AM. I reset the clock and kept watching it as I would walk by the coffeemaker and noted that it was gaining time or running FAST. I went through this for several days and finally sent a message to Amazon C.S. and they immediately replaced with another BKSP1 and I returned the original unit. I went through the setup process with the #2 BKSP1 and was hopeful that the clock would keep proper time ... however it did not. The clock on the #2 BKSP1 also ran FAST. The coffeemaker worked just fine in all regards ... save for the clock running FAST. So, I reached out to Cuisinart/Conair C.S. with this "fast clock" issue and they replaced the #2 BKSP1 with the #3 BKSP1. I did all the setup with #3 and lo & behold ... the clock on the #3 BKSP1 also runs FAST. All other elements work just fine, brews great coffee, but the clock just has a mind of it's own. So (you can guess what is next), I reached out to Cuisinart/Conair C.S. (again) with the fast clock issue noted in graf above. A ticket was established and I was shipped a #4 BKSP1 to replace the #3 unit. Can you see where this is going? The #4 BKSP1 unit was set up and put into service and the clock on #4 also runs FAST. So ... it appears that there is something common going on with the BKSP1 model units. This time I called Cuisinart/Conair C.S. (I had been establishing all other tickets via the inter-web and e-mail). The lady with C.S. was simply excellent and she noted my BKSP1 ticket history and said she would have another unit shipped out straight-a-way. She asked if I still wanted the same BKSP1 model or would I want to get the SP1 model (SP1 is the brushed stainless appearance). I figured what the heck ... I would get the SP1 this time. In a couple days I received the #5 SP1, got it all set up and ready to brew coffee the next morning at 4:45. I would glance at the clock on the #5 SP1 as I walked by the unit and the clock was ACCURATE. I was again hopeful that the clock would hold and keep proper time. At 4:45AM the brew cycle started and it actually was at 4:45AM. The clock held it's accuracy for one day at that point. It has now been 3-days and the clock on the #5 SP1 is "spot on". So (there is the 'so' word again) I noted on the boxes the coffeemakers were shipped in had the countries of manufacture stamped on them. The BKSP1 units were all manufactured in China. The SP1 unit was manufactured in Indonesia. AHA - I said. There is a manufacturing plant issue going on. I did an extensive observation letter to Cuisinart/Conair about my situation and thoughts of what is going on. BTW - In addition the BKSP1 units all dripped extensive moisture droplets down the back side of the unit when the top lid was opened to removed the coffee grounds. This had me wondering if there was a leak as there was water all over the counter under the BKSP1 units. Turns out the drip lip on the upper back of the BKSP1 appears to be 'flat' without adequate slope to have the water droplets flow back into the reservoir. Also the drip lip is not as deep as what I noticed on the SP1 units. I also observed (on both the BKSP1 and SP1 models) that there is a lot of moisture condensation that collects on the upper front panel where the control buttons are located. To me this could affect the electronics that I'm guessing is located near or behind this panel. Ergo couple items of note for Cuisinart/Conair: 1) Production molds for the BKSP1 and SP1 are NOT the same between the China and Indonesia manufacturing plants. Thus the drip lip issue noted above. 2) The chips/electronics being used in the China plant for the BKSP1 are defective and can't keep proper time. All-in-all ... The Cuisinart 14-cup coffeemaker is an excellent product and works very well and produces great coffee. Save for the units (in my case) that are manufactured in China where the chips/electronics they are using just don't work. Adding to that the manufacturing mold difference that slightly changes the size of the drip lip on the upper back. I would suggest getting the the SP1 model and keep your fingers crossed that it is also manufactured in Indonesia as opposed to China. At least until such time as changes are made in the manufacturing facility in China to correct the noted issues. Cheers, Nolan K.

Review update March 26 2020: As previously stated this coffee maker is a solid unit. Not a single complaint. Easy to operate, fill, poor....highly recommend!! Review update: Very happy with coffee maker. Not a single complaint. Don’t pay attention to the negative reviews. Have only used a few times since being delivered a few days ago but have to say I’m very happy with the DCC-3200 in black stainless to match our kitchen. The front face is stainless with plastic stainless looking sides. Still a sharp looking machine thankfully bc it lives on the counter. Display is a crisp blue with a blue ring of light around the buttons when pressed. Low, medium or high setting for carafe. Only tried Medium so far which was still quite hot. Note-the carafe pours perfectly. I’m not sure why so many others have all these spilling issues while filling tank or cup. Not a single drop spilled period. Easy to fill large water tank. Again not difficult at all to fill considering all the other reviews that state it is. Using the supplied charcoal filter with metal basket. Very happy with unit so far. Will update review in time.

Makes excellent coffee. Had it for about 2 months and working great

Wanted this machine, but on delivery has USA plug took forever to get it sorted and returned. Definitely don’t order if you live outside the USA as this is shipped from there
