This was Not the perfume that is pictured.
I loved the classic banana republic scent of the late 1990's and thought that was what I was purchasing, but as soon as I opened the box, I could see the W was a different color, the cap was black and it is not even close to smelling like the original. I know this because I just ran out of my bottle of the original and almost ordered several of these because they don't make it anymore. I'm glad I didn't make that mistake. This smells like a cheaper, fruitier version. It's not the Unisex version either. It's a completely different smell.

Lovely, fruity scent
I have worn this scent for many years now and I love it! When I first bought it, it was described as a fruity floral scent consisting of the smell from fresh cut banana leeves, e.g. When I bought it this time, no seller mentioned any extent of a banana scent. So I was afraid that this fragrance had changed. I was, therefore, thrilled to be able to find out that the scent is still the same! Although it is now described as only a floral scent, my best description would rather be that this scent clearly reminds me most of the wonderful, fresh smell of green bananas, to me it clearly has a fruity tone to it. As mentioned, I just love it!
