SorelExplorer II Joan Dual Zip Waterproof

First of all, I am an actual customer and was not picked to review products. I already have the Caribou boots for deeper snow and love them as well, but i also wanted a pair of ankle boots for more every day use when the snow is minimal or if it's raining. I spent a lot of time reading reviews and descriptions. I will add that I also have a pair of Sorel ankle boots I bought years ago that are good, but now too small. Size 7 which I gave to my daughter. I now wear 8 1/2 or 9.Anyway, I decided on these boots. It's true that they do run small. I also wear heavy socks, so I decided I better get a 10. They fit perfect. A 9 would have been ok, but snug. While I haven't been out in the cold all day, I have worn them to go shopping and run errands in this arctic cold weather we are getting in Ohio and they are very warm. I love the dual zippers. They make it so much easier to get in and out of. They are also very comfortable and of course waterproof. I did spray the suede with a water proofer just for dual protection, but you don't need to. I would definitely recommend these boots to anyone. Both of my Sorel boots are the best boots I have ever had.

I'm going on a cruise to Norway in mid October and wanted something for all weather conditions since I had no idea what the weather will be. So I usually wear a 9.5 but got a 10.5 and fits great. Boot is comfortable and roomy enough for thicker socks and has the double zipper which is nice but the boot description indicates a mock lace up but these came with actual show laces. Not sure if I'm going to keep them so I'm on the fence because the exterior ankle area scrunches down and the boot almost looks like a mens boot and for that much money you need to be sure.

The first inch getting it up stuck a bit.. my sister told me to rub soap over the sticky zipper and voila it works! I had foot surgery 2 months ago and was looking for something that was easy to get off and on. My foot is still swollen.I like the double entry zippers because right now my surgery foot doesn’t flex well. I know if these are comfortable now then they will be even better when the swelling subsides.

I normally wear a 6.5-7 shoe but ordered a 7.5 at the advice of someone who loves Sorels. The boots fit perfectly and have great support. I love the double zipper for easy on and off.

The boots are nice looking and appear to be good quality. They have kept my feet warm in some pretty cold temps. They are a tad narrow but I ordered half size larger to help with this. Overall these are nice boots.
