Overall, a great camera backpack, but flawed in one direction.
I have only just begun to use this camera backpack, and am pleased with almost every aspect of its design, but there is one flaw that we will come to later. The first impression when unboxing the backpack is one of quality and further inspection does nothing to dispel this. I was unable to find any example of poor stitching when I checked it over. The interior can be customised in an infinite number of ways to suit your requirements and your equipment can be accessed through the top, sides, or the flap on the front. It is really convenient to use when out on a camera adventure. The padding will ensure that your gear is safe when on the move. The bag proved comfortable to wear and the design of the straps meant that I had significantly less of a struggle to pass my arms through - this is important for me as I have had both shoulders replaced and have a limited range of movement as a result. For me the major flaw is the way in which the chest strap (and also the external straps for attaching gear to the bag's outside) are affixed. They are detachable by means of passing a metal buckle through a slot in the bag's fabric. On my first trip using the bag I went to London and I removed it on the Tube, leaving the chest strap undone but still attached to the bag at one end. When I got off the Tube I went to put on the bag and noticed the chest strap was missing. Luckily it was not in the swiftly departing train, never to be seen again, but it lay on the platform and someone directed me to it. The straps will definitely not stay fixed safely to the bag when not under tension. Now that I know this, I can make a solution to the problem, but I would have been a very annoyed customer to have lost such an important part of the bag on its first use. Please be aware of this issue and do something about it - I will be sewing one end in place, so that it cannot become detached.I have no other issues: the bag is the right size for my Sony A7rii, battery grip, 24-105mm lens, 14mm lens, & 85mm lens, with room to spare. Comfort while wearing it is excellent and the handles are wide enough to not cause discomfort when carrying it by hand. A lot of thought has been devoted to making it a really superb bag, so I am surprised that testing did not reveal the problem with the straps.Buy it, but do be aware.

Almost perfect backpack
Wow! The name "Alpha" really suits this backpack well when it comes to functionality and amount of backpack technology(?!) went into this thing.Pros-Front access, side access, large compartment for 2 sleeves of tablet/laptop.-High quality zippers that would block out water and moisture really well by the look and design of it.-Removable shoulder straps for mini-duffel mode-Body of the backpack is rigid enough to be called a structure, which would protect the gears well from impact.-1.5L Expandability with top lid-Stretchy side pouches for tripod/water bottles-Magnetic hidden pouch for quick storage and placed in the back center strap, which is also for mounting on carry-on handle-The quality of the exterior/interior fabrics and construction is really impressive... and I mean REALLLY IMPRESSIIVEEEE!! They even feel good to touch.-Too many to list. I mean it literally and sincerely. There are myriads of features in this backpack that would easily make you love it. It's also amazing how many good ideas they were able to pack into this small backpack.Cons...- Uncomfortable (at least in my case)The top end of each shoulder strap is attached to the backpack via a huge metal harness. It is the harness that allows you to press/click to remove the shoulder straps off from the backpack body. This way, the backpack goes into somewhat of handheld mini-duffel bag mode mentioned above. This harness is really cool but can cause major comfortability issue depending on your body type.I normally like to keep the straps short to have the backside of the backpack directly on my back, like a hiking bag. When I set it up this way, the harness pokes into my scapula constantly. It's extremely uncomfortable for me. I tried various strap settings. It's the harness that causes the backpack to be hanging a little awkward on my back all the time. It feels a little bit better to keep the shoulder straps long. However, I would not call this long strap setting "comfortable" either compared to other backpacks in the market.- Internal space seems really tight for 25L. I have Lowepro Protactic 300 AW ii(20L), 450 (25L) and Manfrotto Offroad stunt (about 17L). Alpha is more comparable to Offroad stunt in terms of internal space. Maybe compete with Protactic 300 if I really shoved stuff in with the top expansion.Again, this backpack can be super amazing if it fits your body type. I really love all the bells and whistles features in this backpack but unfortunately the straps do not work for me :( I really wish they make V2 of this backpack with the metal harness changed. I would definitely consider buying. Otherwise, I would highly recommend people to try this backpack though. In terms of features, you definitely won't be disappointed!
