GoPro Surfboard Mounts (All GoPro Cameras) - Official GoPro Mount

So far, no issues with these mounts. From County Line, Ventura and Oxnard, to the Central coast; so far, not one mount has dislodged. I'll update after summer once we start our northern swell if there are any issues, but so far, no probs. PS: On my winter boards I also placed a sheet of fiberglass and resin over the mounts with the slot for the camera left open. If I encounter any waves that rip it off, I'd be hard pressed to blame the mount as having them glassed in would mean the wave is just that gnarly. I truly believe the nose will break off before the mount does. If you don't want to go through the trouble of glassing in the mount, a little Solar-Rez overlapping the mount to the board should provide a little extra protection. Just be sure to sand a rough surface on both the board and mount before you do. Update: With over a year using these mounts I have not had one come off (I have a variety of boards in my quiver from 9'6" to 5'8"). During the winter in overhead and double overhead surf I did have the buckle break three times and once the housing broke where the buckle screws in, but the mounts held every time and since the camera was tethered I didn't lose it. **** These mounts only work on fiberglass & epoxy boards. If you are planning on putting these on a soft-top or vinyl (liquid shredder) board, THE MOUNTS WILL NOT HOLD ****

Purchased these to mount GoPro to our paddle boards. They mounted very easy and hold our GoPro securely to the boards. Highly recommend buying.

These were perfect for our inflatable paddle board! I wish these came with instructions as I accidentally mounted mine wrong. (Picture is of the correct mounting) It still works but a simple picture would have been helpful. I am new to go pro and I have never used a mount before so make sure you slip the go pro into the mount before you put it on because the writing is not the front! There are two in the package which was great for my husband and I so we can mount on either board. Once stuck, they are stuck! We have done what a few other reviews have said and cleaned the area with alcohol first and then not got them wet for 24 hours after.

I purchased these mounts for use on my Stand Up Paddleboards. They are easy to install and hold well. I have not had my GoPro detach from my boards at all. The only downside to these mounts is that they are a permanent mount, and once affixed to the board, cannot be re mounted.

It works perfectly, but just remember to put it on a surface that is as flat as possible (not always easy on surfboards). Some common sense (but it may be useful for you) : try to get more than 2/3 of the stickers to actually stick to the board & wait at least 10-15 minutes before going in the water (a friend put it on and went in the water 5-10min afterwards, then lost it...). I already used it this way on 2 boards (closer to half of the mount sticking to the board actually) and never lost the mount nor the camera :)

I use these on fiberglass surfboards. Out of the 4 I've purchased, the adhesive has always held, but 2 of the mounts (the plastic part), broke off in wipeouts. I personally don't use the tether so I can take off the gopro midsession easily, but I always use the floaty attachment, and if the gopro breaks off from the mount, I can just look around and grab it easily.

Surfs up bro, wanna show everyone just how awesome you are? of course you why else would you be looking at these. Use these bad boys to attach your Go Pro and capture some epic footage. Be sure to follow directions and allow the adhesive the allotted 24hrs to bonds to your board. I didn't and as a result almost lost my Go Pro. Thankfully, I had the floaty attached and retrieved my camera. After, following directions and allowing the mount the proper time to bond to my board I have not had any other near disasters with my Go Pro and believe me I wipe out a lot and often fail to turtle roll on my long board and just dive under waves hoping my leash will bring my board to me.

Do not buy this product. I bought a brand new body board that had no water,wax or any substance to stop the GoPro mount from being placed correclty on the board. I used it the first time with my GoPro and the larger mount where the GoPro sits on top ripped off and almost took a piece of my board with it. Thankfully I had a floater module connected to the back of the GoPro if not, I would have lost it. I am very dissapointed with this product sold my GoPro as I had a GoPro mount for my old body board and this never happened to it before. Safe your money, your board and your GoPro and do not buy this mount.

Tengo numerosos accesorios de marcas genéricas para GoPro y cámaras de acción en general, pero para este tipo de usos prefiero ir a algo seguro, invirtiendo algo más a cambio de minimizar riesgos. Si quieres utilizar tu cámara haciendo surf, wake... y este tipo de deportes acuáticos en los que realmente la cámara va a llevar muchos golpes por las olas, la velocidad, etc., creo que es muy recomendable este tipo de soporte original, con adhesivo 3M auténtico y materiales de calidad. Ya he perdido una cámara en el pasado por utilizar mecanismos no fiables sumado a exceso de confianza, créeme que la sensación que se te queda hace que cualquier gasto extra en algo que lo hubiera evitado compense. Por supuesto, es necesario limpiar bien todo con alcohol isopropílico o algo similar para quitar cualquier resto de parafina o suciedad que quite eficacia al adhesivo antes de pegarlo.

Bought for use on my SUP. Perfect for the job. Good strong bond. Just make sure you clean the area first and it ain't going nowhere. Sticks like glue.
