Like it a lot!
Update a few months after my original review One star, zero if I could. The machine completely stopped working a little over a month ago. I followed troubleshooting available online before emailing customer service. After a few emails exchanged with what was clearly an AI customer service rep, I got a human reponse. The human wasn’t anymore helpful than the AI and a lot slower to respond. A month later and there is no resolution whatsoever. Each reply from the human asked me to try yet one more trouble shooting suggestion, then asked for proof of purchase, then asked me to make drastic changes to my WiFi, then asked me for a video of the machine not working so that they could SEND ME PARTS to repair it myself. So, a product that completely breaks after a few months and laughably terrible customer service. It’s really frustrating too because this product made life a lot easier for us and our dog. Oh well… Five stars based on a few things: 1. It works. It feeds my dog on time, every time and set up was a breeze, including syncing with the app and creating a feeding schedule. The feeding schedule was a little tricky to figure out because it dispenses in units of 1/12 of a cup and I am terrible at math :) But once I figured that out, easy-peasy. I like that you can skip feedings or do one off feedings with just a few taps. 2. The feeder communicates well with the app, as far as I can tell. I get alerts when his food his low, when the desiccant bag needs replacing, if the machine gets kicked offline, and if there is something stuck in the dispenser (this has happened once, with a piece of odd shaped kibble). 3. It "fits" the kibble we feed our dog. I was worried the dispenser wouldn't be wide enough, but aside from one piece of kibble that was odd shaped, we've had no problems. For reference, he eats Purina one chicken and rice formula. I decided to try this when my husband found out he would be traveling for a bit and we needed a way to feed our dog lunch on the days I was working in the office. It's positively changed our routine in terms of other feedings, too. It used to be that our dog would whine for food outside our bedroom door starting around 5:30 am every morning. We tried everything to break him of this, but no luck. I set the schedule so that he gets one half of his breakfast at 4:45 am and the other half at 6:00 am. This has worked like a dream. Now, I usually have to wake him in the mornings when I get up, around 6:45 / 7:00 am. The food dispenser is relatively quiet and we keep it by our backdoor. So, I don't hear it when it goes off in the morning but my dog does. One nice, unexpected side effect is that it keeps him from inhaling his food because it dispenses slowly. If helpful to anyone: my dog is a med to large, about 60 lbs., lab/retriever mix. We haven't tried using the audio function so I can't comment on that (I noticed a few reviews said it doesn't work). I think the true test will be how long it lasts. I've had it almost 2 months and so far, so good, but I'm really hoping it lasts us a good long while. In the meantime, very pleased and recommend this to others.

Solid option
It does its function well. The app is easy to set up and set a schedule. It might seem like a lot at first, but after you have it scheduled you think "that's it?" It comes with a metal bowl inside a plastic bowl. The metal bowl is lower capacity, for smaller animals, which makes noise when the food hits it, and the underlying plastic bowl is bigger. My cat was afraid of it the first time or two (it does make a grinding/whirring noise when dispensing), but then started getting excited when he heard the food being dispensed (except for the fact that it wasn't me dispensing it). It even lets you record your own announcement that the food is being dispensed. It has button controls, which I haven't tried extensively, but I think you really want the app for setting schedules and such. The app does give them the opportunity to "inform" you of their other offerings, but they're not persistent about it; it triggers at certain points in the app, but only once (from what I've seen after about a month of use). It doesn't show other ads (and if they add external ads, I will stop using it and severely drop the rating of this review). It will bug you to replace the dessicant packet once it's time, though. For those that need it, it can be set to dispense up to 4 cups at a time. I don't think the bowl it comes with could hold that much. For under a cup, it sets by 1/12 of a cup, which lets you set it right for "grazers" if you want/need; I haven't tried it, but I understand you can set it to dispense up to 10 times per day. Downsides: When closing the lid, it requires a specific position for the lock tabs to drop, and then you turn again to lock. This can lead to a lot of spinning the lid to close it The announcement speaker is very low quality. The first time I heard my custom announcement, it just sounded like a scratchy blob. Turning the volume up helps a bit, but max volume is still pretty quiet. In a time when you can get a cheap Bluetooth speaker that's better than the boom boxes of yore, it's hard to imagine that they couldn't find a half-way decent speaker that doesn't cut profits to a noticeable degree. The stock announcements are very matter-of-fact, and not how anyone would call a cat or dog for food. There's a man and a woman, and it sounds like they didn't know why they were saying the line; it's more like they're telling you to feed them, rather than calling the animal. This is something that they could fix with an update, and I hope they do. I think it would be a plus if there were multiple to choose from, each calling/telling the animal in different ways. I think it would make it more fun for a lot of people. They just need to be recorded by pet owners. Getting it to use the custom announcement took a few tries. It'll upload to the machine and show a checkmark, and you'll think it's done, but you need to tap that checkmark until a green icon covers it. It has to send the recording, and then the setting, to the feeder via Bluetooth, so it's possible that it might not happen right the first time. -- If I could give it an honest number of stars, it would probably be 4.7 or 4.8. I think it's a great machine and would definitely buy again.

Arrived dirty but works great.
Bought used - pretty good. (not brand new) It works pretty well, pairing to wifi was the hard part, per the app instructions it states to keep it within 20 inches from phone, router, and feeder. i had all of them pretty much touching so it would pair easily and could not get it to pair/would pair and fall out after 2 minutes. kept failing, so after days of trying to pair, i plugged it up across the house and it paired instantly. so not sure the issue there. but it works great. inside was absolutely disgusting, maybe i didn’t read where buying used doesn’t get cleaned but there was hair, dried food, and some kind of film all over the feeder. It’s a good size and is not too loud at all, once paired it stays paired and the app functions work great.

Great Concept, Poor Wi-Fi Reliability
I was really excited about the Petlibro Granary Smart Automatic Feeder because the setup started off perfectly. It connected to Wi-Fi without any issues and worked beautifully for the first 24 hours. Unfortunately, after that, it suddenly refused to reconnect. I’ve spent a lot of time troubleshooting—resetting my router, forcing my network to 2.4 GHz instead of 5 GHz, even trying to connect it through a mobile hotspot—but nothing has fixed the problem. Support has been polite but not especially helpful; their suggestions were the same steps already listed on the website. It’s disappointing, because the design and idea behind this feeder are fantastic. I wanted to use it to slow-feed my dog throughout the day since he tends to eat too quickly. It worked great—until it didn’t. Unless Petlibro releases a more reliable connection update, I may have to replace or return it, which is a real bummer for such a promising product. Review Update: After 8 hours of troubleshooting, it FINALLY decided to connect. I'm hoping this doesn't happen again or if it does, the reconnection isn't such a horrid process.

Not a sealed system by a long shot. Pest magnet.
Started out ok in the cold months up here in New England but by the time spring rolled around, the smell of the food started to attract ants into the house. I thought this was a sealed system but I was wrong. Purchased in Decemeber of 25', and we just disconnected it for good and its May 15, 2026. Return and support window has closed. Do not recommend this product. It's been cleaned and bagged and will sit in the attic until I find the courage to throw it out. For additional context, the ants entered the food storage area through the Dispensing port at the bottom near the bowl, and infested the entire reservoir. (Filled nearly 3/4 of the way up... All in the trash) Not totally blaming this feeder but we've lived here nearly 5 years and have never had an issue with pests of any kind. The moment we brought this into the house is when the problem began occuring.) We placed some bait stations down and the problem has completely gone away in a few days, but we will not be using this feeder going forward for obvious reasons. 2/5 stars because it does turn on and feed consistently, down 3 stars because you will waste money on throwing out deterents. purchasing pest deterents.

Phenomenal feeder-my dog literally sprints to it!
I've been using this PETLIBRO automatic feeder for a while now, and it has been absolutely fantastic. It works great, completely does its job, and has made our daily feeding routine so much easier. The scheduled voice recording is easily my favorite feature. I set it up for mealtimes, and the second my dog hears my voice over the speaker, he instantly sprints to the feeder from wherever he is in the house. On top of that, setting the feeder up was a breeze. The app makes it incredibly simple to program the exact times for feeding and easily adjust the food portions whenever I need to change the settings. If you are looking for a reliable, easy-to-use automatic feeder that keeps your pet on a perfect schedule, I highly recommend this one!

Product description inaccurate (height)
I bought two—one for each kitty. One was to go under a stairway and the other in a nook just over 12” high. More on this detail in a moment. I must say these are nice looking and seem to be high quality. The setup with WiFi was straightforward and simple, however both units required a reset (which was just a couple of buttons and no big deal. It just seemed odd that both units required it. Now, as for that nook: despite my better judgement looking at the photos online the product description said the units were 11.54” tall. THEY ARE NOT. They’re closer to 13” which means I blew money having an electrician install an outlet in that nook. This was really annoying. That said, ours was a pretty specialized application, so if you don’t have such a height restriction I recommend this product.

A must-have for your feline (or canine) companion - but the app could be better
UPDATE 3/10/26: dropping another star due to the feeder effectively bricking the moment Petrlibro cloud services have an outage. No notification in the app meant erroneously thinking the connectivity issue was on my end, followed by a unit reset thinking it would solve the problem. But when trying to reconnect it to my home wifi, while it actually connects successfully to our access points, it disconnects once it is unable to do a successful handshake with Petlibro cloud services. Ok fine - outages happen; we can try again later - but the worst part is that without connectivity to their servers, the schedule does not work! It's the 21st flippin century Petrlibro - if we cars can drive themselves, a cat feeder can have a sliver of memory to store the schedule locally... >:[ What's that? That's the sound of silence - no more whining from my cat because the Petlibro feeder keep him satisfied! Compact, easy functionality, keeps the kibble nice and secure and so far has withstood our feline companions attempt to break in. One star off for the abysmal app - if two devices are setup with the same account, only one can be logged in at any given time. Come on Petrlibro - y'all can handle multiple user sessions!

Motor stuck, machine won’t dispense food
Edit: Increase rating base on Petlibro wonderful consumer service. Brought up the issue to the original company and after reviewing the video to prove it was the base that was the issue, Petlibro sent me a replacement base. I just got it and it is working so far. Crossing fingers it last more than 2 years. Original: After 6 month of use (and it wasn’t set to go off everyday either), the motor is dead. I keep getting an error message on the app saying the motor is stuck and to clean out the feeder but that’s not the issue. I’ve tried cleaning the machine out and it’s not a food blockage. The motor just won’t turn anymore. I've tried gently turning the motor manually and it won’t budge. There’s no way to open the machine to look under the motor to see if there’s an issue too. Very disappointing. The feeder isn’t cheap either

Great Buy for Chunky Cats
TLDR; get the 5G WiFi Pet Feeder with APP Control model. I have a kitty with an eat disorder. He will gobble everything in one go if allowed. Now that he gets several small meal throughout the day, his appetite is smaller and he's less stressed about food. In fact, sometimes he leaves uneaten food in the bowl! I initially bought the base model. I strongly advise upgrading to the 5G WiFi Pet Feeder with APP Control. Setting the schedule is much easier with the app, plus you get more than the 6 time slots the base model only gives. I also like that I can set a different schedule for the weekend, allowing me to sleep in without a hungry kitty harassing me to get up. It also has a higher capacity, so it doesn't need to be refilled as often. One con is the app doesn't work across multiple devices. I prefer to use my ipad, but it would be nice if I could check in using my phone when away, Apart from that, cat approved!

Works amazing, but beeps at times
I have had this for 5 months now and it’s been great except it beeps and unlocks its buttons without anyone pressing it. It has had no wifi connectivity issues and is very easy to schedule and use the app! the beeping happens here and there and i’m not really sure why, other than that it has been great. *UPDATE* the beeping is getting progressively worse, right before feeding times it beeps non stop and unlocks the button without anything near it

Unable to Connect to Wifi
I was really excited for this purchase but the device doesn’t connect the internet no matter what we try. We even reached out to my internet provider who said the feeder was showing up on our network but the feeder itself was saying it is not connecting. Their customer support replied immediately the first outreach, then when we replied back we received no answer even when we tried emailing again. The lack of support and wifi connection earned it 1 star :( We will most likely return it.
