UPDATE >> Motorola Website - "Upgrade to Android 13 began as of June 12, 2023." Here's what used to appear at the Motorola Corporate website when the model was still being actively sold there. "Currently receiving regular security updates. Device launched on April, 2022. Security updates will stop on April,2025. Launched On: Android 12. Next OS: Android 13. This device will receive at least bi-monthly SMRs updates. Please note: Channels and regions may have different launch dates and support cycle may vary." I realize some reviewers cite that their models originally came with Android 11 and then updated soon after to Android 12. Hence this explains the different launch date disclosure at the website and possible conflicting operating systems of either OS11 or OS12 which the device came originally installed with.

You'll be happy to know that both devices offer a 3.55 mm headphone jack. As far as which device is better is subjective based upon what each device offers and presently what's most important to you. The Nord N20 5G offers an AMOLED screen while the Moto device is LCD. Most think the Moto offers a better camera while some think the Nord device offers a smoother and more efficient processor. Both devices offer 6 GB's of RAM. However, the Motorola device includes twice the internal storage versus what the Nord device offers initially with the purchase. The Moto device has a larger battery. However, the Nord device has a faster charger included. The Moto device here doesn't offer NFC but it's included with the Nord device. Most agree the ergonomics of the Nord device is better. It weighs less with a more sleeker design using higher quality plastics. However, the Moto G 5G arrives with Android 12 installed while the Nord devices arrives with Android 11 and it's still awaiting the next OS upgrade. Both devices have security updates lasting until April 2025 and the Motorola device should upgrade to Android 13. However, an upgrade to OS 13 is not expected with the the Nord device. Price might be also your deciding factor but it looks like you have two strong contenders in which to choose from. In either case, I hope you'll be happy with your purchase.

According to the Motorola corporate website and the description given by Amazon in buying a new unlocked Moto G 5G (2022) device you will receive a 6G/256 GB phone with Android 12 installed.

That's a tricky question. Why? It's because you can never be sure prior to ordering the phone.. Visible offers two different BYOD phone checker tools. The one to utilize is the website that appears when you Google search Visible bring your own device. You'll have to enter the site stating you're a new customer even if you're already an existing one. If you enter the IMEI number at this site it will allow you to order a new SIM card. It appears Visible has altered the IMEI checker tool at their main corporate website and it will always come back when you enter the IMEI number for any unlocked Motorola device as being incompatible. That's not necessarily the case. For instance, my Moto E 2020 is compatible showing at the one website and it shows as non-compatible at the other. Visible is still undergoing the VoLTE upgrade in some areas and 5G towers may not be available in all areas. This is why Visible will ask you for your specific zip code prior to sending out any SIM card. This is a very important point. Granted, I realize this doesn't answer your question directly. However, others like myself have learned that Visible is a viable option with many Motorola unlocked devices. However, you have to purchase the phone first to see if it's compatible with Visible as regional support will vary from customer to customer. Anyone who tells you that you can simply manually enter the APN number later to get your device to work is giving you misinformation as well. That doesn't necessarily work. Good Luck.
