Q: Would these be ok in a sandpit or would the wheels clog up?

These are quite small items so have quite small wheels. We have used these in a sand pit, with play dough and in the garden. They will clog but a quick run under a tap and good to go. A very favourite toy, very versatile and great for shared play.

Q: Would one of these fit in a Christmas cracker?

I think the back hoe and excavator might just fit in if you made large crackers yourself. Great idea I would carefully take them out of the box and try it. These are one of the most favourite toys I have bought for my grandchildren boys and girls.

I have bought three sets of these small trucks. The first set (throughly washed) was originally bought to decorate a birthday cake. It does say for 3 years and older. I guess the problem being some younger children will put them in their mouths and chew them and they tend to stop this around 3.They are still a great little set even if you have to wait another year until 3.
