Good product
Did not burn off on a high temp exhaust, made the welds look great and protected them, went on easily and seems to hold up. Good quality product that worked for me. Put it on a Stainless 4 inch exhaust just after the headers and its holding up.

Be careful to choose air-dry or heat cured because they have both.
I have used POR coatings several times over the years. You get what you pay for and this stuff is pretty good. I have never had a failure using this expensive coating. This is no ordinary paint. This review is for the aluminum color high temperature paint. Other reviewers have complained about this paint failing to dry properly. What they missed is this compound does not cure properly until it has been baked at temperatures above 300'F for at least 10 minutes. It paints as a liquid but cures as a powder paint. It must be baked-on. After that it is quite hard and durable. It kills rust. Be careful to read the label and directions. If anything, the company should make this clearer in their labeling and how to use, mode de-employ. They do make a conventional aluminum or silver coating that air dries and does not require heat to cure. I found it elusive to find, however.

Excellent high temp paint!
Used this paint to coat cat back exhaust system on my truck. This is some super tough paint. Exhaust looks great and paint holding up flawlessly. Be sure to properly clean and prep surface to be painted and you can expect great results from this excellent quality paint. Also have used the POR brake caliper paint with similar success.

Great product - TINY can :)
We have a midcentury home, and as such, there are tons of lovely details. However, not all of them are aesthetically pleasing in terms of color and/or material, including my fireplace. It is large and lovely, but the surround/grate were a flashy brass, which was the trend at the time of its creation in the 60s/70s. After painting out the bricks, bringing them from a dirty barbecue color (see before photo- last in the series!) to a deep gray more on par with the 21st century, the surround was even more ugly, if that is even possible. Rather than trashing the surround completely, we hunted around for a high-heat paint in a bronze tone and came across this one - Manifold Gray by POR15 - which is reputed to be heat-resistant up to 1200 degrees. Perfect! I have to admit, when it arrived I laughed out loud. The can was SO small - like 1/2-pint or some such - but that is on me because I didn't really read the number of ounces in the can (8) or try to visualize how much that actually was. And technically I suppose this was advertised for use on car engines and the like, which probably don't use a lot of paint to begin with. But since it costs more than 30 bucks I guess I was expecting something bigger! (Incidentally, this is why I gave it a 4-star review instead of 5, because it was an absurdly small can for that price.) Anyhow, we decided to give it a try. Turns out, it was the perfect color to go with the new bricks, and after properly prepping the fireplace (cleaning, light sanding, wiping with lacquer thinner) we were able to eke two complete coats out of the tiny can. It is now a year later, and this paint has held up very well. Granted, I am careful not to bang it or scratch it whenever possible, to ensure the paint lasts a long time, and I cannot speak to whether or not this would be good paint for a high-traffic home, or any sort of rental unit. But for us, who take pride and care with our home, it has been a great product, despite its miniature size-can.

Used it for caliper paint, worked great
Used this to paint the calipers on my C5. I wanted a "stock" looking gray. Not a fancy shiny silver that is available in caliper paint. This worked great, looks great and should last just as well as caliper paint since its hight heat and solvent resistant.

Excellent Product
I used this to paint an Exhaust and Intake manifold on a 81 CJ5. I had to replace the manifold gaskets, so I took the opportunity to clean up and paint the manifolds. It took only 1/4 of the small 4oz can to paint the manifolds with two coats. I waited 24 hours and installed back on the jeep. There was some smoke for about 30 seconds and then manifolds were back to normal. I've put around 150 miles on the jeep since painting and the manifolds look great. I read so many posts about POR-15 being a single can use and done. If you clean the top of the can well the lid will not seize to the can. I've since reused the paint on another project and I'm down to 2 oz remaining and its as fresh as the first day I got it. Clean up and properly secure and this will last till its gone. To keep the rim of the can clean I recommend putting some blue painters tape around the seal during use and remove and clean up the top before securing the lid. I'm so comfortable that this can be reused with proper care that I plan to buy a gallon can on my next purchase.

The best
This product worked extremely well on my fireplace insert It had old bronze louvers now the black pops out at you, this flat finish is very hard to find. Make sure you open up your windows, as does smell for a bit. Wear gloves and do not spill onto anything you don't want painted. Did require 2 coats as directed.

High-End Fontana Pizza Oven looks high-end again
Followed the instructions and used the POR Rust inhibitor. Scuffed it up and gave it two coats with the POR High Temp Paint. It looks great. Make sure you use a quality brush because you could get a bit of streaking. Love it.

Excellent
Very pleased with this paint. I painted my snowmobile muffler and it looks new. This paint is thick. Does not run. It's a ton thicker then spray paint. I love it but it's crazy expensive.
