Great quality!
Edit: I’ve had this over five years now. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I’m just changing the way that I do my work and I want something a little slimmer to go into my bag. It’s still in perfect shape, though after all these years. I have had this portfolio binder for a little less than 5 years!!! I use it 5 days a week and it is still in great shape. I can’t believe how well it’s holding up. There’s only one thing that I do not love about it and it’s probably just personal preference. It hasn’t bothered me enough to replace it for almost 5 years so it’s not that big of a deal. The outside pocket is on the same side as the notepad. So if I’m going into a meeting, I generally put my keys and my phone in my reading glasses in that front pocket that I’ve grabbed from the car as I’m getting out. When I get into the meeting, I have to move those things so that I can take notes I could put the phone on the inside pocket and potentially my keys, but I’m in sales and I’m going in and out of meetings and in and out of my car going into client offices. If all of that was on the top and the outside pocket was on the other side, I could just open it and take my glasses out if I needed them or my phone and not have the bookings on the writing pad side. Hopefully that makes sense. I love that it has extra pockets on the inside because I carry sales collateral a lot and also when I pick up business cards from clients, I can throw them in one of the shallow holders. I love that it zips completely and the zipper even after five years is still great and is smooth. None of the leather is peeling at all. There are no scratches or peeled edges. I’m not particularly gentle with it either. It’s in and out of my laptop bag it gets thrown in the backseat and sometimes in the floorboard. It’s definitely straight up to anything that you could imagine being an outside sales person. I’m thinking about replacing it not because I actually need a new one. It’s just that it’s been almost 5 years and I’m getting kind of bored and want something new.

Love this portfolio!!
This is absolutely the nicest portfolio for the money I have found, either on the Internet, or in local stores. No, it isn't real leather (bonded, or otherwise), but I knew that going in. It also doesn't carry the price tag of real leather bags, which is a big plus. But it does seem to be good quality poly-eurathane (PU), which is becoming harder and harder to find. It comes in a very nice blue presentation box, wrapped in a cello bag. There is also a tissue paper cover for the notepad that is nothing short of thoughtful, luxury packaging. Honestly, at this price level, I would not have expected such beautiful presentation. I bought this item as a replacement for the very similar Avenues America portfolio that has served me faithfully for more than 15 years. Unfortunately, the finish on that one was apparently a black spray-on finish coat that just this year began to flake off on my hand while carrying it from car to office. In my professional position, picking those tiny black flakes off my hand before beginning my daily routine was not something I really wanted to do, particularly in the presence of co-workers. The PU cover is classy looking, to say the least. It has a grippy, matte finish, and feels sufficiently sturdy. Better yet, it has no offenseive chemical smell. Of course, only time will tell if it is acceptably durable. The gray contrast stitching is a nice styling touch, and its seam lines are straight, tight (with just a few loose ones) and uniform. There are plenty of pockets and compartments on the inside, including a stretchy phone holder (although it is too small for my Sony Xperia Z3v), a pen loop, and an accordian style divided document compartment that is thoughtfully secured by a velcro flap. The double pull tabs for the zipper add another touch of class and convenience. Having said that, the pulls are tiny and slick, and once the portfolio is fully open, they seem to bury themselves. That makes finding and gripping them a bit tedious at the end of the day when it's time to close it up and head for the house. Nevertheless, I manage. I do hope that the zipper doesn't fail early like many of the other portfolios offered by Amazon. The note pad included IS lined, unlike another portfolio I was considering that came with an unlined pad. That odd accessory totally mystified me, besides being completely impractical for my needs. Again, only time will tell. But for the price, this is an extremely nice portfolio. My old Avenues America bag is now destined for the garage sale pile. NOTE: The 2 out of 3 "unhelpful" ratings on this review absolutely confound me! If something you want to know is missing, or if you disagree with something I wrote, leave a comment for God's sake! Otherwise, I challenge you to write a better one!!

Best inexpensive Padfolio I've seen thus far.
After doing a fair amount of online research, I ordered these 3 padfolios to do a style comparison: * Stylio Zippered Padfolio Portfolio Binder: (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071CG6BZP/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) * Wundermax Padfolio Portfolio: (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CB6YQ8M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) * Samsill 70829 Professional Padfolio: (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0792DXXSG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) The Stylio Zippered Padfolio Portfolio Binder was the clear winner in terms of style, functionality and ease of use. 1) It holds a top-bound notepad for left AND right-hand users — TOPS 'The Legal Pad Writing Pad', 8-1/2" x 11-3/4" #7532 fits perfectly. 2) The pen loop/holder in the middle of the case is large enough to hold 2 writing implements — such as my Jinhao x750 fountain pen and a Pentel P205 mechanical pencil. 3) There is a stretchy cell phone pouch, which accommodates my iPhone 6, though I did need to take off the silicone card sleeve I had been using. I found the silicone was just too sticky to slip the phone easily in and out of the pocket. The Tech 21 sleeve I use is slick enough to allow easy pocket access, and my phone still stays nice and snug. 4) There are 2 business card/ID/credit card holders, which can accommodate up to 10 business cards or 3 ID/credit cards in each. 5) The small zippered compartment could hold currency (US dollars fit just fine), stamps, extra pens/refills — it just barely fits my 2 squat Stabilo Boss highlighters. 6) There are 4 additional pockets. The front slim pocket holds a thin agenda, note/index cards, and the like. My Bullet Journal is a tad too thick to fit here, though my Kindle Paperwhite just fits. 7) There is a larger pocket behind that is secured by a Velcro tab. It extends with 3 separate slots/sleeves. My MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014) actually fits in the back pocket, though I wouldn't recommend that on a regular basis as I think it might strain the case too much. Similarly, an iPad Pro would just barely fit. That back pocket does fit an extra TOPS pad, as well as letter size paper. It will not fit a standard size folder. The middle pocket is ideal for a thicker agenda or Bullet Journal. The front slot is lined with a soft fuzzy synthetic material, which is ideal for smaller tablets or a Kindle. 8) There are 2 zippers to close the case — This is an improvement over just 1 zipper as they ensure the case is completely closed without gaps. They can be a little hard to access, so I often ease them out a bit before closing my case. Then the zippers are easier to grab onto to zip the case shut. 9) The synthetic material used in the exterior of the case does show fingerprint/oily marks. A quick wipe down with a cloth buffs them out. Make no mistake, this synthetic doesn't look, smell or feel like leather. But it's a decent vegan substitute and seems pretty durable. All in all, the Stylio Zippered Padfolio Portfolio Binder is a solid and stylish product. Perfect for college students, new graduates, and casual professional settings. It can hold an impressive amount of stuff: notepad, pens, highlighters, index cards, Kindle Paperwhite, cell phone, business and ID cards, letter size paper/documents, a back-up notepad, and an agenda. Zippered, this padfolio slides easily into the dedicated laptop pocket in my backpack when I'm not toting my laptop to/from classes or meetings.

Great For The Price
I managed to climb my way into middle management- lol. I wanted to get something that reflected my promotion to AGM. This had style and wasn't too expensive. I'm primarily a leftie, so I loved, loved, loved that the writing pad could be flipped so that I can write from the open side. Plenty of inside space and it zips, so I don't have to worry about losing anything. The spine has a carrying handle, that can be pushed down when not in use. So far, I have zero complaints.
