Great stuff, fresh, lasts a long time.
I grew up eating this brand of black licorice, my entire family loves this stuff! i gift it to dad, brothers anf hubby. I was buying 4 lb containers now they say 3.5 on the label. Anyway I grew up one city over from where the plant making this was and the red one too. Its always fresh and delicious just like I remember! Great stuff. Will continue to buy.

... I used to eat RedVines cause it was the BEST brand of licorice at the time
OK so I used to eat RedVines cause it was the BEST brand of licorice at the time. I haven't tried these in a long time and finally broke down cause I LOVE BLACK LICORICE!!!!!! But these are NOT WHAT THEY USED TO BE, now they are horrible. Dry, tasteless, and barely a hint of flavor. SADLY I will just have to rely on my memories of this favored sweet treat. :( :(

Red-Black Vines Of Joy
I have no idea how they get here so fast, but I’m glad they did. Mom loves her black licorice. Sometimes it’s the only thing that will calm her down. And local stores are catching on to what everyone aside from my mother already knows. That black licorice is gross. But she loves it, and isn’t able to get it anywhere else. So imagine my utter glee in finding these available. And able to get to my mothers house very quickly. And they’re soft. You could use them as a weapon, if needed, simply by threatening to feed them to someone or by using them as tiny flogging devices. If you are like mom, you’ll enjoy the soft and perfectly chewy sticks of dark temptation, and that there’s a very slim chance of someone stealing them from you like a girlfriend that already said she doesn’t want any fries. If you are like me, you’ll enjoy the speed in which they arrived and the fact that it keeps her quiet whilst she eats them.

Black is back!
My wife loves licorice. She loved Vines licorice as a child, but supposedly the black version was taken off the market for some health reasons. Now they are back and she still likes them. I don't like black licorice so don't ask me. I love red licorice, but, "Red Vines" red licorice tastes like plastic to me. She love them too, go figure...

Licorice? Not!
Not black. Brown, hollow tubes with a too soft texture and an odd taste unlike any licorice I have ever had. I disliked this so much that I tossed the lot and will not buy again.

tastes like you just got it from the factory store
Black Licorice doesn't get much fresher than this product especially for this price.SOFT as can be, tastes like you just got it from the factory store.I am ordering it again as soon as we run out.

Not your grandfather's black licorice.
Certainly not what I was expecting. The normal Australian black licorice I by is a thousand percent better. When you start chewing this black licorice it tastes like plastic at first, I would not recommend this. I only gave it two stars because after chewing it for like 10 minutes, you finally get some real black licorice flavor.
