Murray River salt is an excellent salt to finish a dish with. Mildly salty, with a little sweetness to it, the crystals are not overly large so you don't get a big hit of salt all at once, nor are they so small they melt into the dish right away. Instead, you get little saline bits of crunch that help make the other flavors of the dish pop without being overwhelmed. The size of the crystals and the fact the salt is dry and doesn't clump makes it easy to control exactly how much salt you want to use and where you want it to go. Using this salt to finish a dish allows you to get away with using less salt overall. This is not the first bag of Murray River salt I've bought, and I know it will not be the last.

This is the best tasting salt. If you dont like things too salty and this is the best salt for making salted caramel or salted sweets

Several years ago, I read Kurlansky's book about the natural history of salt and have been intrigued with the benefits and flavors of different types of salt.This salt is truly one of my favorites on two fronts: flavor and texture.The flavor is complex and is not just a straightforward saltiness. The size and hardness of the crystals are perfect. You get a slight crunch and burst of flavor, but the salt will also easily dissolve and not linger as an unexpected crystal as some other salts do.

It's been a while since I've purchased Murray River Salt Flakes. I'd forgotten just what a difference a nice finishing salt can make to almost any dish. I'm an older, single man who eats largely out of my freezer and microwave. A sprinkle of Murray River Salt Flake adds a nice bit of crunch and salty flare. Glad I made the purchase. I'll order again.

This product is great. Ran into it recently in a nice restaurant. Fortunately, our server could tell us all about it. It is an amazing finishing salt that is appropriate for almost anything you can imagine using it upon. In fact, it gave us a wonderful excuse to dig out my grandparent's antique salt cellars!Both the appearance and tast of this salt will certainly be a hit with guests, also. I has an amazing "crunch", followed by a "pop" of saltiness that is sure to please.

Years ago I was introduced to MR salt at a restaurant in Las Vegas. I’ve been hooked ever since. I ask for more at Christmas and order more myself in between. It adds so much to the final plating.
