Does this vest have a d ring on the back of the vest for a net?

Are the inside pockets waterproof

No and if you plan on keeping fish( I usually don’t) the fish bag in the back is not either. Might want to carry a sling Creel.

Many of these vests for men have the front zipper backwards or in other words, positioned as for a women’s vest. Is the font zipper on this wrong 2?

I have looked at a lot of utility vest and I believe all vest of this type have the zipper with the control arm mounted on the left. In other words, arranged the same as women's outfits with zippers. Why, there's no real reason, it's just the way their produced. The zipper working the opposite of mens outfits shouldn't keep you from purchasing a utility vest if you have need of one. I needed "pockets" so I chose to purchase two vest, so far.
