Would this replace a metal lid with bend tabs all around? Bought 5 gal stain but won't use it all this season. Need a good seal.

You would have to hammer all the tabs tight and then pry them all open again when you want in. This lever lock seal is more convenient.

I need a container that will hold 60lbs water pressure for mixing saltwater. Will this lid hold that pressure?

Pressure won't be a problem for the lid. Mine leak at the rolled seams around the bottom. Might be the heat for me, I put 300* oil in them. But they also corrode, a small amount and very slowly for me, but that might be the oil that is slowing it down. The saltwater will definitely be faster.

It's not designed for plastic rims. I wouldn't try it.

Can i store hot cooking grease in can

That's what I used the pail and lid combination for. However, drill a small vent hole in the lid. This will prevent the can from crumbling when the oil cools. The seal is that good.
