The only gaming headset my son likes. He uses it for his Xbox said its clearer in sound and when talking online then the other one i bought at the local store that cost more. Thank goodness I was still able to find this on Amazon available for the gamers who want what they want. He has had this style headset since it came out I think.. and what is that saying if its not broke don't fix it? So I will continue to buy this particular headset for him for as long as possible. Good value for the money and does last for quite some time to a gamer whom is always playing online. Has good sound quality and good hearing and talking online.

Definitely one of the best headsets I’ve owned. I’m a average daily gamer and play FPS games that require communication and excellent hearing and these headphones do the job. The mic is clear and everyone can hear me greatly as well as being able to hear them clearly. The audio is amazing. Better than the past Turtle Beach headsets that I’ve used for years, I can hear enemies footsteps around me which gives me an advantage to knowing where they are at. It’s so crisp and clear that I can hear everything going on around me like real surround sound. The bass kicks pretty hard just enough that it adds realism to your game and I love it! Ear cushions themselves are soft and comfy and fit well, the headset is very flexible and should be able to fit anyone’s head. I have to wear glasses and normally I get headaches from headsets ear cushions pressing too hard against my head, but these ones are soft enough I don’t feel the pressure from it. I’ve used the headset with my phone already and as well as games sounding amazing, so will your music. Again it has clear audio so you can hear everything and bass is perfect! Design looks and feels durable. The 3.5mm audio cable that comes with it is a little over 6 feet long. If you’re looking for your first headset or need a change in brand and need something that performs well, I highly suggest this headset.

I don’t think there’s any need to go into great depths here. Gaming headsets should do two things well. First the sound quality is very good and clear with deep bass that can immerse you into your experience giving it that extra punch. To me it sounds very balanced. The mids are not recessed while the highs are not overdone and shrill. I would say the overall clarity is much better than most inexpensive gaming headsets. Second the mic is very clear and mutes when you flip it to the vertical position. The only complaint I have is that they chose to make the ear cups a strange shape. Other than being round or oval shaped to fully cover your ear the bottom of the ear cup is a horizontal shape which can make it uncomfortable after long sessions. A small issue but everyone has a different shaped head and ears. Overall very pleased. I am a 33 year old male that has been gaming since I was a kid if that means anything. I’ve noticed some of these online reviews are from parents saying oh yeah it’s great my kid loves it. That doesn’t say much for someone that plans on using it themselves. I do have higher end headphones with the DACs and amps. I’m used to listening to music and such on higher end equipment. I wanted a gaming headset with good enough sound quality and I was not disappointed.

Ok so I have had this for over a month, I have been using these headset for both my Xbox one x and ps4. This is a great headset with excellent sound, quality and a superb build. I only have 2 things that I'm not a big fan on, first the loudness of the speakers, knowing that these speakers are the same ones that are offered in the premium addition I was expecting something louder. Yes these do sound amazing and if you are a gamer then you will be able to pinpoint your opponent but as far as the volume is concerned its not as loud as I would like. If you are chatting with you friends online that is one time I did have to turn the volume down from the maximum level. The second is comfort, they do have a really good feeling while you are warring it. After a long gaming session though, for multiple hours, I felt the pressure of them on the top of my head. I also ware glasses and you could feel the pressure from the ear pads on the side of my head. All in all this is a wonderful headset for the price and I do recommend these to all.

I'm surprised at all the wireless or wired headphones for, say, gamers are so cheap. You try to adjust the microphone, and the piece breaks of like a balsa wood toy airplane part. Or after a couple months, one side of the sound quits working like, while it just was sitting on the desk. So yes, they are usually cheap. I have a box in the basement filled with them. So my son, after researching, found this headphone we bought it. First, as a rule, any wired connection has more stability, connected directly to the Alienware Aurora R16 with liquid coolant so you don't hear the loud fan noise they are so known for, and the Alienware is hard wired to our hi capacity reliable router. But now here's the reality, as my son would a good tester cuz he naively relies on stuff to always be perfect. Until he's 18, I won't say a word about that rock climb on a volcano aka "Life." I let him fail from time to time, and sometimes he doesn't turn in his homework. He is BRUTAL to computers, keyboards (he slams them when his game ends and a fellow teammate blew him up just he gets close to a treasure chest. To be fair, I'd be mad,too). Hes tough on headphones as he pulls them off his head and throws them on his soft fabric foot stand. He sometimes gets out of his chair and walks around with his wired keyboard headphones on , and weve bought custom length 12 ft cords to accommodate his frenetic energy, which is so severe my wife uses him to whisk things in a bowl or to mash potatoes. THst walking pulls on the cord, which is puutting pressure on his USB port. We've stopped him from getting up, but I'm sure he still does it. And yet, so far, and longer than the other ones, Astro is just right, with no glitching, and I've tested it on my laptop in my dictation software (nuance dragon professional 16 individual home).I also had a pleasant accurate experience. Don't be me. I have hundreds of dollars worth of junk broken defective headphones in a basement box. I didnt think I needed to buy a warranty on an inexpensive headphone. He's dropped them on the floor and they work and arent all cracked or loose. Personally, I think he threw it on the floor after a game tournament. He gets outside alot, plays on sports leagues for soccer all year, and his vitamin D levels are good. But in his sanctuary, all is well. headphones and microphones are so vital - say - in team tournaments on games. You cant have your stuff glitching or you may lose your pixel avatar.

These will last you, good quality easy to use.

The set of headphones has some great sound quality for a headset that doesn't require a USB device! I didn't buy it for an Xbox, so the speaker doesn't work with my computer (the speaker is made for an xbox, but I didn't buy this for the speaker). If anything, I just had some comfort issues. Below I have written additional details. I bought this headset back in July of 2018 and it still works really great! The type of cable that runs through the headphones to the jack is rather thick compared to earbud wires, so you don't have to worry about it twisting and breaking nearly as much. The cable has a dial that allows me to adjust the volume that my headset takes in, which is pretty helpful in some situations (sometimes I accidentally roll it down and wonder why my computer is muted, but that's on me). I would say that the three star rating that I have given this product comes from comfort. This headset is nice for short term videos and gaming sessions, but if you use it for too long it does two things: • It overheats your entire skull. The amount of heat stored up in your head not only gets your feeling thirsty and generally hot, but it also makes you more upset than normal. • The headset has a bit of weight into it and slowly sinks into your skull. My skull has a bit of an imprint in it from using it for so long. If anything else, the soundproofing is phenomenal. However, don't forget that it can cause some problems: • Anyone else living in your home that requires your attention will have a lot more trouble getting a hold of you; even if it means that they might need to yell or even take your items away. • If you are prone to shouting or making loud noises of any kind, it really muffles you out and psychologically causes you to become much louder than normal. Just be careful about these things. I hope that this review helps!

Very good product... was looking at more expensive headsets but this one had everything I needed and the price was a lot more affordable. The sound is actually very good compared to similar products. I saw a lot of people having problems with the right ear not working, so I hoped I didn’t have that problem but the first time I went to use them the right ear didn’t work... well come to find out that the problem people have is with the plug that goes into the headset, you have to make sure it’s in all the way. I pushed a bit harder and it popped in and works perfect now. It also doesn’t feel cheap, it’s very well constructed. Quality product.

A really comfy headset with a useful muting feature when the mouthpiece is raise vertically. Ear guards and foam is very comfy and soft round ears, can use for long periods of time without any sense of ear fatigue or pain, no visible skin marks or dents either. Very firm design, have dropped it a few times but hasn't broken or stopped working. Very high detail in audio, certainly has the volume power.
