THESE ARE FANTASTIC!!!
These are probably some of the most well-designed items I have ever bought!I can put two plates of food in here because of the removable horizontal separator and seal them with the lid.I actually don't use the handles because I bought three of these and just stack them to carry to the car.I use these three nights a week and they've solved ALL my food transportation problems. And I pop them into the top rack of the dishwasher when they need to be cleaned. These are so great I've told everyone I could tell about them. They are truly fantastic!

Works great if you use disposable aluminum pie tins
Works great if you use disposable aluminum pie tins. Not enough vertical space to stack two pies if you use ceramic or glass pie plates, since those are thicker. Fully loaded, the balance is a bit weird and the handle feels less stable than I'd like - not exactly *un*stable, but enough of a wobble that I put the whole carrier in bag instead of using the handle (which addressed the balance issue as well, and made a convenient place for serving utensils). I'm glad the handle is an option, but I probably won't even bother pulling it out of storage next time I use this. Shape is very convenient for loading pies in and out. Size is snug enough that they aren't sliding around, but I also wasn't scraping the edges of the crust trying to get them in. Overall, I am very happy with this as a pie carrier. Would give 5 stars if it were just a little taller.

The best you can buy!
I should know. I am 70....and I bake a lot of pies....and I give a lot of pies away. I had many of these exact pie carriers I got from Bud Frye who sold these exact ones in Longview, tx. People tend to not return my pie carriers. I was Bud’s letter carrier, and besides the awesome products he sold, I had the pleasure knowing some amazing people at that business. This pie carrier is the best. I am very picky about my pie crust. You can reach into the container and lift the pie out easily without damaging the crust...Due to the design that is angled at the ends. I can put two pies like buttermilk, pecan, or cherry in one...or leave out the little shelf and carry a coconut cream pie or lemon meringue pie with meringue so high it will make your jaw drop. I also use these to store cookies, fudge, etc., if you know someone like me, who takes pride in their work, and has a lot of OCD about doing it right...buy that person these carriers as a gift. They will always remember. Just like I remember my friends at Frye Intl.

Forget it! Worthless!
I always bake pies for my family at Thanksgiving and Christmas and I finally broke down to buy a carrier instead of looking around for cardboard boxes. Arrgh! The handle doesn't stay on and the top lid won't stay attached. What a waste!

Great double-pie carrier
I am very happy with this item. I'm the pie lady for our family gatherings, and I'd been transporting the pies in cardboard boxes. I love using this food tote instead. I was worried about the handle coming off, from the weight of two pies, but it worked like a champ. I bought this particular tote because it's not perfectly round--when using round pie/cake totes, it's very hard to get the pie or cake out. This tote has space on both sides where you can get your hands in to lift out the plate or pie pan. One more point in favor of this tote: very reasonably priced. I looked at the Tupperware site, to see what they had, and their round (in my mind, less desirable for the reason explained above) pie/cake carrier costs an arm and a leg, as do many others I found by googling.Note to the person who was unhappy with the tote as a cookie-transporter: How about using a plate, or just taking the divider out?

Good shape, bad quality
Used this for the first time today, and am very disappointed. While I love the "football" shape that allows me to easily get my baked goods in and out of the tote, the lid is horrible! It's very thin and flexible and refuses to stay attached to the base. It keeps popping off and curling up at the sides instead of laying flat. The handle also seems very unstable, even when "locked" into place.

The best pie carrier
This is the best pie carrier I've found. I bake the pies for every family holiday gathering and rely on these. I only wish that the larger model was still available.

Nice, odd shape so you can only place round ...
Nice, odd shape so you can only place round items inside. Edge where handle attaches cracked after one use, not heavy item inside. MMMM not too happy about cracking.
