Grinds whole nutmeg, cinnamon, all solid spices effectively. This is an essential kitchen tool
Needing to grind whole nutmeg? Clove? Cinnamon? Anise? This is the only substantial grinder you'll find which grinds all solid spices to a perfect consistency making it easy to robustly flavor any Indian or middle eastern dish, Christmas dish, etc. It is constructed with quality metal and a solid wood catcher bowl. No lie, I opened the box the instant it came in the house just to test it out. It went through 2 whole nutmegs, 25 solid Cloves, 1 cinnamon stick, and about 10 anise stars. The eggplant bharta and chicken biryani rated 10's across the board from company. Having never had freshly ground spices before, this grinder turned it O-U-T!

This is great
After years of patiently grating nutmeg by hand, this is such a treat to use. I must admit to being very confused by the little tool. I can’t quite visualize how to use it.

Good materials, small design flaw
Solid construction with good ergonomics, but the "claw" mechanism that holds the nutmeg in place has a tendency to dig a track into the nutmeg and lose traction.

Does not work right
I can turn the handle over and over again and hardly anything comes out!

Works great for 80% of the nutmeg
This nutmeg grinder grinds well. The two main drawbacks are it will only fit one whole nutmeg at a time and the grinder will only grind 80% of the nutmeg. At the end, 20% of the nutmeg will not grind and needs to be discarded. That is quite a bit of waste but the ease of using this grinder may be worth it.
