Perfect and ergonomic backpack for active fishing
Expected to be a bit bigger capacity but it's okay. The quality and materials are very good.

Underwhelming for the price.
A little smaller than I thought for the price some of the pockets are hard to reach with your hands, and it sucks that I had to make another order of $100 for the front chest piece for the extra space with the already high price on the bag compared to other brands that give you more like Orvis. With that said the build quality on this is pretty good I would compare it to the higher-end hiking backpacks available in the market. I love that it had holes for different net positions I just wished they could have done more with this so I could hold a fly reel and rod when your hiking/walking. The water bottle holder holds a 48 oz bottle no problem and have no complaints about that. The padding on this is interesting but I'm willing to give it a shot. I'm gonna test it on a 12 mile hike and let you all know how it goes

Great quality but much smaller than expected.
Man I really want to love this backpack but I’m not sold. I have one of the compatible chest packs and loved the idea of this backpack. I take my young son out with me on the stream and typically need to pack lunch for us both, two water bottles, sometimes rain jackets and a backpack stove. There is no way I can fit all of that in this pack. The crazy thing is, size wise it’s about the same as the backpack I’ve been using, but volume wise it’s about half. We are both very small people too, but my Orvis wading jacket will take up most of the usable room in this pack.Quality wise it’s great, everything you’d expect from fishpond. Comfort wise it’s not great. Straps are very stiff and the padding in the back is very stiff as well. Stuffed with gear and it’s even less comfortable. The chest pack integrates nicely though. It’s a good pack, just may not work for me. I have thought about returning and trying out one of the larger ones, but afraid that size wise they may be too big for my small frame. Was excited for this to come but disappointed now that it’s here.

Perfect Size for the Essentials
Perfect size for what I needed it for: hold everything that I need on a day of fly fishing, but wouldn’t have in my chest pack. (Bonus points for the integration with Fishpond chest packs)I also love the 3 different options for net storage, and the ability to hold rod tubes on the sides with the use of the Lariat gear straps (not included with the bag)
