Dymatize Nutrition - Elite Casein Protein Powder Micellar Smooth

I initially bought this protein because I wanted a pure casein powder for the sake of baking and other recipes. Pros: - Tastes amazing and is absolutely phenomenal in recipes. Pictured above is a protein Vanilla Ice Cream I made in my blender. - Extremely versatile in recipes. Casein protein powder in baking helps make things have a dense, less dry, less cakey recipe than whey, so it's a must-have for any protein baker. - Whips up nicely. Think of whisked eggs. An example is also in the picture above. - Reasonably priced. - The macros are good enough. The composition of this powder is 83.3% calories from protein which is good considering this powder tastes good. Cons: - Due to the nature of it being a casein blend, this does not mix well with water at all, so it is not good for quick protein shakes. If you mix this with water or milk, you may find it to be very grainy and thick which isn't too desirable. - It is reasonably priced, but it is still not the cheapest option for general protein intake. Overall: I still think even with the cons this qualifies as a 5-star item. Casein powder just typically isn't great for quick water/milk-based shakes in general, so I can't take points off for that, and the price itself is fair. TLDR: It's a good-tasting, reasonably-priced product. If you are planning on using it for baking or other recipes buy it. If you are planning on drinking this, do NOT buy this. Opt for a Whey protein or a Whey Isolate instead.

Mixes well and is delicious! My husband drinks it before bed each night, and my picky kid loves when I put it in her smoothies!

Been using Optimum Nutrition products for quite awhile now, decided to give some different brands a try to see if i'm missing anything. Guy at work brought in some Muscle Pharm whey, I liked it good enough but was almost too sweet for my. I needed to get another jug of Casein protein so decided to buy this little jug to give it a go around. This stuff is AMAZING. I poured a 10oz glass of milk into a normal glass, dumped in a scoop of this casein, mixed it with a fork...completely dissolved, no clumps, no chunks, nothing stuck to the sides of the glass...I was impressed. The taste, holy cow this stuff tastes AMAZING, it is literally like drinking liquidy vanilla pudding. Not too sweet, not chaulky at all like many other brands tend to be...almost doesn't seem a supplement with the label of goodness this stuff has should taste this good. Definitely going to buy a big tub once this little guy is used up, and am looking forward to Tuesday when my dymatize whey comes in to see what that's all about.

I purchase this off a recommendation from a friend and it is by far the best dissolving Casein Protein I have found. There isn't any chalk taste or flavor and it dissolves great. I have found the best way is to add it after your liquid and start shaking slowly and then more intense, it likes to stick to a surface if that is dry first but otherwise this will be my regular Casein mix.

This is definitely the best tasting protein powder I’ve ever had. It doesn’t leave the nasty after taste so many do. The issue is that it does not mix well at all in just a normal shaker bottle. I’m sure it would do much better in a blender but I don’t have time for that in the mornings. getting big chunks of protein powder in my mouth as I’m taking a drink is not pleasant. I haven’t looked into the serving portion like others have mentioned
