I have bee looking a long time for a cast iron kettle to cook with , nothing taste better than food cooked in or on cast iron . I wasen't sure at first about buying cast iron made in China , but let me tell you this kettle cooks great ! I used it to fry fish and chicken and make gumbo and boil crawfish all in the same weekend ! Everything turned out great ! better than expected ! the temperature was easy to control and set i didn't even have to use a thermometer except i just wanted to double check myself . I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who likes to boil and fry . You can also cook a lot of food with just this 5 gallon model , I fed 35 plus people with no problem what so ever . I t is well built and will stand up to years of great cooking . even though it is made in China you won't be disappointed with this cooker .

Bought as a Christmas gift for my son. He won't be using until the summer so commenting on the sturdiness or durability isn't possible at this time. It did look good in the box (presentation) and it weighs enough that my husband struggled with moving it to and from the car so, if looks and weight mean anything, it should be a good buy. I found it expensive but upon comparison shopping, it was actually a good buy. Time will tell whether it lasts or not.

The cauldron is of very good quality. It is convenient to cook in it over the fire. Heats up quickly, keeps high temperature for a long time.

We used it for making camp stew. It turned out perfect thanks to this pot. It's well made, sturdy, and a great value. Would recommend to anyone.

This pot will last several lifetimes. Needs additional seasoning before using. 5 gallons filling it to the brim. 4 gallons useable max.

My only problem with this item was the hanger came off the lid on my first use. The pot worked wonderfully for campfire stew. I built a fire directly under the pot. No burning or sticking. Everyone raved about the stew.

I've had the 5 gallon cauldron for a week now and have used it twice. Once camping, heated by small wood fire and the second time at home on gas cook top. Very nice. My only complaint is that I haven't been able to find a steel "handle" so I can hang it over a fire using a tripod.

Update 7/24- 4th time ordering the product and still nothing. I’m officially done.I am soo disappointed, first off with seller for not packaging this better and second for delivery. This is not cheap and I know it’s heavy so somehow it should be better packaged. My issues, first time ordered and it never arrived, automatically refunded by amazon for either damaged in route or they were not able to deliver. Second time I ordered it arrived cracked. It is heavy so not sure how it was handled in route but it was cracked. Had ups come pick it up and ordered the 3rd one. Was suppose to be delivered yesterday and now it’s running late. Usually when it runs late expect it delivered damaged or you never receive it at all. I have never had to order a product 3 times. Very disappointed.

Took forever to get this. Extremely disappointing. Not happy with it either
