Some Modification had to be done to fit my setup but all is running perfect for over a month since the initial install

This 100% will work as a replacement for an older Whirlpool fridge’s evaporator fan. But, be sure to keep your old fan’s hardware so you can reuse them. The brackets that come with this were too short for my fridge. But I was able to retrofit the old bracket and make it work. My old fan had both terminals on one side. So the white wire would not reach this fan since the negative terminal is on the opposite end. But you can easily cut the wire and extend it with a couple wing nuts. I used an old iPhone charging cable wire and it worked as an extension. An electrical wire cutter would come in very handy. Also, the red blade is too large. So use your old blade as a template and trim the new blade to the proper radius. Scissors will do the trick. So yes, took some work but well worth the investment.

Not really comfortable. The electrical connections on the motor are not in the same physical location as the original unit. The wires on the refrigerator side are not physically long enough to reach the connections on the motor. So you would have to make jumper wires to make it reach. Also the metal legs that attach the motor to the refrigerator are way to long.

I had a evap fan motor go bad, so I ordered this. Vintage (mid 90's) Whirlpool Top freezer. Repair completed yesterday. I swapped armature, brackets and fan blade from OEM part that went bad over to the Seentech motor. OEM brackets more rigid, and armature caps on OEM where copper, vs Seentech looked to be plated. Due to spade locations on Seentech motor I had to build pigtail extensions as the wire length on fridge was too short. I would suggest checking resistance on Seentech motor prior to install. Other than building extension pigtails install was smooth. Cant comment on durability over time. I will say the OEM motor that went bad was only 3 years old, so instead of spending $60-$80 on OEM replacement I went this route. Time will tell if I made the right decision.

this defrost fan fit my whirlpooll/kenmore fridge! great price and similar to original....my old one making cat noises this was fairly easy to install the wire lead location on motor must match old one and the fan blade cannot be pushed too far back to motor or it will hit motor. works well! super quiet ! all good.

Product description does not mention motor rotation direction. It is backwards for my needs as shipped, I dismantled the motor and flipped the field to make it go the direction I needed. Also the universal nature of the mount caused me to bend the mount for the correct mount spacing and depth. The motor works fine but it is NOT the drop in replacement I'd hoped for.
