GET THIS CPU
At the moment it is extremely difficult to beat this cpu with price for performance, if you want a good mid-range cpu for gaming that can handle most popular titles including some that are fairly hard to run with over 60 (and sometimes 100+) frame per second then grab one of these. Very smooth desktop/general use experience, with just a little bit of computer knowledge setting it up is extremely easy whether you’re upgrading or building from scratch this is a great choice. The stock fan works well but is quite noisy so I would suggest upgrading to a noctua or something. I highly suggest looking into second hand 1080tis at the moment as they can be snagged for way cheap and they pair beautifully with this cpu.

Incredible price-performance
Picked this up used for 71 dollars and honestly did not expect much since it was only meant to be a temporary placeholder until I move to a 13900K. For a 4 core 8 thread CPU this thing seriously impressed me. It exceeded my expectations in almost every way. Multitasking is smooth and responsive which is something Intel has always done well. Even without E cores the extra threads help keep things moving during gaming and recording. As a content creator I rely a lot on strong single core and multicore performance and this CPU handled my workflow without stutters or slowdowns. For a budget chip that can handle games and light to mid workloads this CPU is an absolute killer.

If you can still find these 12th-generation processors, they are great!
Bought this processor to game, and it works just fine. Also, being 12th Generation, it doesn't have any of the downsides of earlier or LATER generations: 13th and 14th can burn themselves out, slowly over time. This 12th Generation does not have that flaw! I haven't overclocked this thing, I just slapped it into a mobo a couple of years ago. It's currently paired with an AMD 6800XT and it plays all the games I throw at it just fine. Starfield, Skyrim, Marvel's two most recent hero games, they all play with great framerate on a 1440p monitor.

Stellar price to performance ratio!
Bought used, came in original packaging and with the cooler. From the experience so far, I couldnt care less that it was used. Plays every game I care about pretty well, sometimes very well. Surprisingly powerful little cpu, especially at $50-60. Runs very cool. Feel a bit ridiculous using an AIO on it, BUT frankly I already had it and wanted to use it. I will give the aio an i9 or something in a couple years as a treat. For the time being, great little CPU that lets me game and live stream, once I optimized things a bit.

Does the job right
Solid, good for simple 3d animation in SFM and plays games just fine without overheating. The stock cooler is more than enough to keep it running smoothly. Doesn't suck up too much power while idle or when in use.

Great price for great power
Works exactly as stated, had no issues, packaged very well! Runs smoothly and quickly, have it installed in my gaming computer and have no problems.

Four banger beast
I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS INTEL MACHINE FOR A YEAR, there was a problem with Microsoft software and the bios... so I put it aside and waited for "the patch." I wanted to put an I 5 12600kf, but had a 12100f on hand. Not disappointed at all CPU running at 4.1 out of the box, 32 gigs of DDR 5. I am 78 years old and love building and playing Starcraft 2, W.H. Total War 2 and Remnant 1 and 2, what a blast. This little CPU doesn't know it's a four core, running 1080 on a rx7600 8 gig DDR6 GPU, runs smooth and stable! Aside: I have three machines in my game room, for the grands... best grandpa ever!
