MiniLock Handrail to Post Fastener

Loved it. So simple.to use. Was ready to pay big bucks to have a contractor do this somewhere simple procedure. Thought there had to be easier way..so glad I researched and found this simple product. Genius.

The headline says it all.I was looking for a clean way in install upstairs handrails. I have had no experience and took sometime searching forums and reading various product reviews. This seemed liked a good solution as it hides holes or plugs that could be seen from the underside.Follow the correct prep work an the jobs virtually done. Drilling the holes was a little intimidating for me but I marked my drill bits to depth and had good success.It was easy to install and can be easily removed if needed. It's sturdy and I've had no issues.

Works well, but the screws provided bend and break very easily. Be sure to wax all screws and predrill the screw holes, especially in hardwood. When installing the railing don't be too rough or the screw that engages the keyhole will bend. I ended up using stronger screws than the ones provided.

These are a little pricey but they are the best solution for mounting handrails to posts. There are no ugly plugs and no screw holes to hide. They fit super tight so the final baluster is rigid and secure. Installation is straight forward (I did have to buy a 1 1/4" forster bit). This was my first baluster install and I am really pleased with the results. A really great product.

I've installed a lot of rails in my life but have been retired from the trades for many years. I recently needed to upgrade our interior rails and by chance, I somehow came across these fasteners. Let me just say that they were absolutely fantastic to use. I couldn't believe how simple, fast, and strong they were. They're simply brilliant! I highly recommend that if you have a railing system to install, the MiniLock handrail to Post Fastener is the way to go.

Very easy to install, product works very well for the handrail. I had tried the Zipbolt first and that broke as I was tightening down. Minlock is a much better produce design and option.
