AS TASTY AS I REMEMBER ...
I found THE perfect candy dish - a 1950s Anchor Hocking ... identical to the one that my mom had when I was a little girl ... so went searching online for the spearmint leaves candy that mom always had in the candy dish. I FOUND THEM. The first bag that I bought wasn't as tasty as I remembered, so I went back online and found THESE. They are just like the ones mom filled the candy dish with in the mid-late 1950s. My sister found an identical candy dish online and bought it. I sent her a bag of these spearmint leaves as a Christmas gift and she agreed that they were exactly as she recalled as well. We are both waxing nostalgic at the moment, savoring each minty, gummy candy ... and savoring the memories as well. (and it still cannot be opened quietly - mom always heard the little 'clink' of replacing the lid - and it still makes the same clinking sound when you try to close it quietly. aaaaaaaaah memories!) and GOOD CANDY!

Not what I expected.
I was hoping these would remind me of the candy I grew up with, unfortunately they did not. They have a terrible after taste . I will probably dispose of the remainder of the bag . Sorry, I was very disappointed.

Not Good For Celiacs
These are good but not truly gluten free as they are subject to cross contamination during manufacturing process. Also they're a bit pricy.
