Worked Great!! Still use caution if you have a rambunctious little one.
This has been wonderful in not only keeping my curious and active toddler safe, but also reducing the mess in the kitchen. At an age where exploring is his top priority, my son’s recent escapades highlighted the need for extra precautions. In just a matter of minutes, he managed to ascend a chair, reach the kitchen counter, and successfully seize a prized treat from the top of the fridge (sugar cookies). While the target was a sugary delight this time, it could have easily been something more hazardous like the knives in the holder or something else. To establish a barrier that would grant us peace of mind and keep him out of potentially dangerous areas, we decided to install a gate. However, our kitchen’s unique layout posed a challenge due to its angled walls. In a stroke of luck, I stumbled upon this product and decided to give it a shot. My initial concerns about its adjustability, sturdiness, and ease of installation were swiftly ended. The spindle rods were able to hold the slight wall angle, and I was pleasantly surprised that a tap with my hand was all it took to secure them as the angle was slightly off. They’ve been in place for nearly two weeks now, and I’m happy to report that they’ve held up admirably. What’s particularly impressive is their resilience. On a particularly frustrated day, my son tugged at the gate with considerable force. While I approached to intervene, I wanted to observe how well these rods would withstand the test. While extreme force might have posed a challenge, they stood strong against his pull. Even in the unlikely event of needing additional reinforcement, I’m confident that anchoring them to the wall will be a straightforward process. I would just need to drill them in place but I don’t think it’ll be necessary. Highly recommend!

Baby gate extenders in a Y shape
I was looking for baby gate extenders in a Y shape. These are baby gate extenders in the shape I was looking for. Had they been another shape? It would’ve been the incorrect shape. Would purchase again, if the rose for baby gate extenders in this shape. Would not recommend for somebody looking for another shape.

Sturdy!
The quality was great! But i never used it, we moved to a different place, where we had no need to have gates. But it's decent!

Perfect for Regalo gates
I set up my Regalo baby gate by the stairwell. I initially tried using the wall nanny on the railing side but my 1 year old was able to pull the gate right off. This 'Y' shape arm was the perfect fit for my railing. My railing is pretty slim so this fits easily. May not work for wider railing since you can't bend the 'Y' arm. The gate is really strong and I can't even pull it off. Since this item worked so well I bought it again.

If you have spindle railings these are a must for your gates!
Moved into a new house this summer and had a beautiful spindle rail stair case, only problem is our gets would work with them. I was looking for solutions on the internet that wouldn't involve me buying a new $150-200 gate, when I found these. For 9 bucks I felt it was worth a try. When I got them I set up the gate using these and they work like a charm. Gate it fastened to the rails just as tight as if it was a solid wall.
