Rock Band / Guitar Hero Official Microphone (Wii, PS3, Xbox 360)

I purchased this mic to play RockBand3 on the PS3 and I'm satisfied with my purchase. The cord is long enough to move around the room, and not have to worry about being too close to the machine, and the sound it produces is crisp. Some of the other reviews I read stated that you don't get a black 'Logitech' mic, but I ordered this product twice (one for me and one for my sister) and both times I received the product as shown in the product review. Great price for what you get.

This worked out well with the Xbox 360 games that required a microphone.There was no problem pairing the microphone to the unit and it worked well with the less used Wii.The cord is long enough to allow the Karaoke singer to bust some moves in addition to regaling us with their *ahem* special rendition of popular tunes.In short, a good addition to the guitar games that now every child and their friends can *enhance* with their lovely vocals. It works very well with the Xbox 360 and Wii but can't comment on its usefulness for a PS3 since we don't own that console.

I purchased this microphone along with a microphone stand a few months back. The microphone has held up decently. I don't feel like it is as durable as the microphone that initially game with the rock band game. This microphone is very lightweight though, which is a nice plus. I've probably used it about 10 to 20 times thus far and it's still working well. I'd recommend this as a viable replacement for an old Rock Band microphone. However, if the price is similar between the original Rock Band mic and this one, I would suggest to go with the former.

I ordered this to go with the Rock Band game and controllers for my children for Christmas. I had to educate myself about the game and accessories and therefore got a later start on the ordering process than I wanted.Even though I ordered this just a week and half before Christmas and the estimated delivery date was after Christmas, it arrived in plenty of time. This was coming overseas as well.This item works perfectly and my children are really enjoying their new game and gear.

After reading the reviews and ordering many items that had mixed reviews finally got something that did not work on the WII. The WII recongized it but when it came to playing games there was no audio input. I connected the mic to my pc, downloaded the driver and found there was no audio input there as well though my other mic works fine. My guess is that the people having problems have mics that broke during shipping process. The product comes in one of those plastic bag envelopes with no padding and would guess that's were it breaks. If you get one that works, I would say it is a good deal but if it doesn't work you have to deal with sending it back.

If you want a cheap USB mic to plug into your computer, this is literally the cheapest thing you can find. And heres the secret, it works and sounds okay! You can plug this into your computer and boot up garage band or audacity and be recording your own voice-overs and songs. Dont get me wrong this is not a 'good' mic. Compared to any professional XLR mic this is a piece of trash.... BUT it does not sound as bad as you might think and if you just want to play around, or you have an incredibly limited budget this is as good as deal as you will find right now. If I had no other option I would pull this out and use it in a heart beat for light tasks.

The microphone itself works perfectly fine, with volume and precision comparable to the Mic that came with the PS3 Rock Band 2 bundle.I am worried, however, about its durability. In this item the connection between the cable and the microphone dos not have the rubber protection seen in the RB2 Mic ( Madcatz Mad Catz Rb3960110002/04/1 Nintendo Wii Rock Band 3 Microphone (Video Game Access / Accessories)  ), which purpose is protecting the mic's internal electronics against pulling forces in the cable - a frequent happening when you have a larger group of people passing the mic around (and occasionally stumbling on the cable).

This microphone does a really great job for the price. The official wireless ones were just completely out of our price range so we went with a budget model. I was worried the quality might be poor but it has done very well in multiple games my wife plays with it. She loves to sing and do karaoke so we feel like we really got a great deal on this microphone given how well it works. Definitely worth the price and you probably cannot find anything else as good for the price.
