Ecoxgear Ecojam Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker

I did A LOT of research before I purchased a bluetooth speaker for myself. What I wanted: long battery life, waterproof, floats in water, a subwoofer and a power bank. After literally months of research, I had to decided on purchasing a speaker from Altec Lansing. I had purchased one and before receiving it, I had discovered The Ecojam. I immediately ordered one for myself and decided to give the other speaker to my friend. Best decision ever!Upon receiving the Ecojam, I noticed it is NOT cheaply made. It is durable and rugged. It can withstand falls and probably me throwing it across the road. I've had this speaker since March 2018, so roughly 9 months and I'm still wondering "Why doesn't everyone have this?"Specs.-The battery lasts between 10 and 12 hours depending on the volume of the music. I usually get 11 to 11.5 hours. No less than 10.-The subwoofer is perfect. Even on those deep bass songs, it doesn't make that mechanical bass sound.-The 2 front facing speakers are crisp and clear.-The speaker IS waterproof and DOES float in water. Just make sure the seal on the back is fully closed. My speaker has been in the hot tub, shower, lake, river and ocean.-I used the power bank once. It did drain the power bank quite fast but put my phone up from 30% to 80%.I loved this product so much, I bought an additional 7 and gave them away as presents. Buying such a speaker with a price tag of less than $50 is a "no brainer." I have called the company in the past and they were extremely down to earth and professional. Did I mention there's a 3 year warranty with this speaker? Usually you have to buy an extended warranty with other speakers.I'd give this speaker 10 stars if I could. I will never purchase a different speaker.

Great speaker! Lots of bass, (so much it wiggles itself off of stuff lol) great highs and long battery life. AND it's COMPLETELY WATERPROOF! I floated it to see if it's claims were true... If I could give the speaker more stars I would.

I put my joby stand on it, makes it look like a robot with a big ass head. I wish it was louder though. In the midst of downtown traffic, it does alright for sound quality within a 3 - 5ft. As for thickness, it got some booty i guess.

This my second one had to buy another one cause the kids took ownership over my first one .They sound good and battery last all day and they hold to bouncing around in Jeep and RZR

TL;DR5/5 speaker for indoors, and indoor parties. Great Highs and Mids, the subwoofer allows for great bass, and ok deep bass (for your rap beats.)2/5 for the inability of using it as a Bike mounted speaker, could not handle winter temperatures below 32f, (0c). Without losing much of its charge. [[BE WARNED, THE SUBWOOFER USES ALOT OF JUICE, SO BE PREPARED FOR 30-40min of max volume power at full tilt with bass heavy songs.]--In Depth Reveiw--As soon as I got it, I mounted it on my Mountain Bike and went for a ride.The sound of this is rather amazing.I use(d) it on my bike rides whilst going to work. [Check the Update for why I stopped using it on bike rides]In a closed room environment this is the speaker to use.I've put it through it's paces from Heavy Metal, to Classic Rock. Classical, to Dubstep. They've all sounded superb even at the maximum level. The Bass bit of the speaker works wonderfully. When cars are zooming past you on the Motorway at roughly 64 kph, the sound is still lovely.[REDACTED apparently with further colder winter climates, it did not hold up so well.]For the negative bit;It seems the Unit I have received had a botched battery. As it would only reach 5 hours on medium, and 2.5 on max which hardly meets the 10 Hour claim. Also for some odd reason the buttons vary in response. While I can most easily switch tracks with a light push. Changing the volume requires a heavy push of the finger. For these reasons I have docked it a star.>>>Update 12/31/17 : [Docked down to 3/5]The battery Life doesn't seem to like the cold, the MAX Battery life is short if you listen to Bass Heavy songs, especially if you want to play this in the cold for some reason. The reason I think this is weird, is due to the fact I have a 50 Dollar Bluetooth speaker that holds up it's battery charge even during the harshest of temperatures. This speaker is clearly not designed to be at max volume on your bike ride.The Volume buttons no longer work after a ride in a snowy day at -23C.As a result, I had to shelve the speaker when it came to bike usage.Another downer is the fact of how much power is drained at max volume with bass heavy songs. If you want to enjoy your EDM, Rap, etc. I hope you brought a portable power bank, and a backup bike speaker.This is a decent speaker at reasonable temperatures above 0C, or in a closed room environment.

Item came as described from seller. As for the speaker itself it exceeded my expectations. Sound was loud enough and well rounded due to the built in subwoofer and its waterproof. I use this on my jetski and havent had problems with it.

Watching movies in bed or music on the beach is fantastic with this unit. We love it!!! It’s a real bargain.

I like this speaker ...the only trouble I have is that ,after 5 months ,I am not able to charge it anymore...
